can the messages that you receive and send be saved on your memory card instead on your phone memory?
I got the phone a couple of days ago and I am impressed (for the price of the phone) immediately did a software update to V5 and is working well. Can’t notice the difference between EDGE and 3G (BOLD 9700), both are just as fast. I would recommend this phone.

I am a little bit shocked, by the lack of 3G. On the Curve.
If You're getting a Phone bundled, with a Contract, this probably isn't the one to go for.
Also, the Battery Life could be improved.
Aside from that, it's a nice Phone.
I think, with the inclusion of the dedicated Media Keys, it's aimed at a different Market.
A friend of mine, managed to get this Phone, new...
In the last Month.
Which, while a tribute to it's popularity, made Me wonder, if Technology hasn't super-seeded this Device, yet.
AJ, 27 Aug 2010hi Guys, i have been using the curve 8520 for the past 3 months and i had a real bad experi... moreThis sort of thing happens to any phone. So even if I went for a Nokia, I know that anything can happen. As far as your issue, warranty covers it. And if you don't want to lose data, as with any smartphone, create a backup file before sending it in. Easy as pie.
i have been using the curve 8520 for the past 3 months and i had a real bad experience using it. The optical scroll stopped working suddenly out of the blues because of which the phone is of no use for me . Also i came to know that there is only one authorized service center in Delhi i.e in okhla industrial area (which is too crowded). When i went there after facing a lot of hardships, they told me that it will take minnimum 2 weeks for the phone to be fit and running and had to be sent to banglore for repair.
Also all the data would be lost.
I want to know whether anyone else faced the same problem with the optical scroll?
So guys who are planning to buy this phone, please take this into account. i would prefer you to stick to nokia sets like E-71 which is far better than this phone.

I just purchased this BlackBerry Curve 8520 week ago, its just an aweseome cell phone. Before this phone i was using the Nokia E63. The best thing about this cell phone is its Web Browsing speed. Its just wow.
If anyone of you are planning to buy this phone just go for it without any further confusing cell phones.
