Cassy, 23 Jun 2010thank you JRF for assisting me wit my request, however when i downloaded nimbuzz it does show ... moreWell, I have never used it so I'll try my best. From what I know, you need to login to all of your accounts (msn, yahoo, fb) that you are planning on using. This should download all your contacts automatically. If it doesn't, delete it and try again. If it still doesn't work, try another app. I think Fring is also available. IM+ could be an option. I'll research on which would be the better app and give you a more informed answer.
mig33 also has fb chat. ive got a nokia 5230 and blackberry 8520 both have mig33 and i chat on fb.. give it a try
I just bought my BB Curve 8520 yesterday... Damn at first I love it... but a few hours after my phone just load n load and load... its just loading all the time...

Is there any Adobe Flash application avilable for BlackBerry 8520?
does its wi-fi work for yahoo, facebook, youtube and the likes without using my local network provider? hear me out JRF thanks
i have a berry silly question..is BBM avail with 8520? is that extra charge or does it need internet connection only? thanks
hey im thnkng 2 buy bb curve 8520....do i need 2 get a postpaid connection for tat...??? n howz the performance of this bb...??? reply...
@Becks: if your BB doesn't turn on, there are ways to fix it. But if it is brand new, take it back. It's the best option.
@narada and cassy: the FB app for BB doesn't allow chat. It sucks, I know. You could try and app like Nimbuzz or eBuddy. Those I think are free and allow FB chat.
@Cassy: trackpads can be changed by someone else or you can do it yourself. Search for how-to videos on youtube and search for parts on the web. I recommend getting someone else to do it. And just so you know, the trackpad wobbles a bit, it's considered normal.
@theo: no, it doesn't have a flash. check the specs, pics and review for more info. search before purchasing.
@onesmartwoman: thanks :) glad to know I can help someone else with what I know :)
nessa, 22 Jun 2010how do i access Bberry messenger? It should be in the Instant Messaging folder. If you don't see it, while in the menu, press menu/BB button and select Show all. If BBM is hidden this will make it show up. If you still can't find it, press and hold the menu button and your App manager should show up. Select it from there. A tip, so you know, is that you should only have 5 or 6 apps running at all times: Phone, Web, Messages, Home and BBM. The 6th is the GMail Enhanced plugin if you use it. Or sometimes you have apps that need to run in the background like weather apps or such. These are ok to leave running if needed. If you have too many apps open, your battery will run out fast and you will slow your phone down a lot.
parag, 22 Jun 2010can you pls tell me what should i buy on my birtday blackberry 8520 or samsung monte pls sujje... moreYou are asking people that you don't know to choose the device that best fits YOUR needs for YOUR birthday, and saying that you don't want to ruin it? You really need to ask someone else. The only advice you need is to check both in person, and make sure the one you decide to buy fits your needs. If you are willing to pay the fee for BIS and need a messaging device, get the Curve. If you want something more or don't want to pay a monthly bill for BIS, then get another phone.
Lala Mia, 23 Jun 2010I just bought the white one as a back up phone (have the Bold 9700 as primary phone) and I can... moreYou are looking at it the wrong way. This is an intro to BB. Same as the Pearl was. You obviously came from, or rather, own a superior device... why expect more?
I just bought the white one as a back up phone (have the Bold 9700 as primary phone) and I can't express my dismay. This is a disgrace to the RIM family. Plastic all over and poor screen resolution. It's got to be the cheapest phone eeeeever!
