Gaurav, 27 Sep 2009I am planning to buy a phone...but a bit confused between Blackberry Curve 8520 and Samsung Om... moreThere is no question, if your contract includes unlimited e-mail and on device browsing definitely the BB. If just a normal contract then the Samsung
ZeeR, 01 Oct 2009Is there anyone can help me? if i subscribe to unlimited blackberry data plan, can i go onlin... moreWhich provider are you with? You may not need unlimited plan. In India, Airtel offers a plan with which you can get email and chat (Yahoo, MSN, gtalk, BB) unlimited for a fraction of teh cost you would pay for unlimited data plan.
ZeeR, 01 Oct 2009Is there anyone can help me?
if i subscribe to unlimited blackberry data plan, can i go onlin... moreYes. Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger; all will work without voice chat and you will be able to browse and download from the internet just like accessing Internet from a computer. Only Skype will not be available as they don't develop Skype for BlackBerry as of now. There's another application named iskoot though but, that doesn't support Curve 8520.
what a phone,,,best phone ever used.buy buy buy buy buy buy buy buy buy, nothing better thn this phone
Is there anyone can help me?
if i subscribe to unlimited blackberry data plan, can i go online, chatting with my ym, gtalk, skype for 24/7 ?
please i need the answer fast..
thanks in advance.
this looks like a really great phone hoping to get it next month(OCT.23/24) cause my carrier says its sold out.
I have this phone the BlackBerry Curve 8520, and I have unlimited on device browsing and email on this phone (Included in my contract). I use the term phone, but this is the nearest you will ever get to a real computer in a handheld device. The only people who think BB is not the very best smart phone that money can buy are those who have never used a BB. If you for one second doubt me that is fine you obviously do not know better.
The only other phones that you can compare this device to is Android phones that has already surpassed the Iphone in every conceivable way, but still, unlimited e-mail and on device browsing is not available on it yet.
I can recommend this phone to anyone that has access to a BB specific service on their contract.
If you want a beautiful interface, lots of useless applications and every conceivable constraint a cell phone can put on you I recommend the Apple Iphone.
I have read plnty coments on the phone, some good some bad.
I've had a samsng I600 and a sony erricson and was seprized at the simplisity of the 8520. Its the simplist smart phone I've ever used.
Yes my se is faster to brows, but that's it. The BB is a better phone. My wife picked it up and played with it and after a few min sead, this is a great phone.(She dislikes smart phones)
At the end of the day you need to decid what you need to do with you're phone.
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2009You are the one who knows nothing.
I used Nokia E66 and now use BB Bold.
I tried to use e-ma... moreFYI, i have been using nokia for past fifteen years and i have used all the models starting from nokia 2110 to nokia E71. i have also tried forcing myself to use BB for some time, i used 8300 curve, 8900 curve and BB bold 9000. it is not at all user friendly. yes to some extent it is good for emails only, nokia E71 (blackberry killer) has fabulous features like taking backup in the memory card, unlimited phone contacts, making voip calls in, skype, yahoo, msn, google are any sip calling and lot more. these things are not available in BB. There are lot of applications available for nokia in the market, it is a sure market leader, if your blackberry carshes, you are nowhere, u r struck, every time you should have a laptop or PC to take back up. Nokia E66 is not a sucess model, it has got software problem, from the begining it was launched.
I have downlosed Nokia Messaging software for my official and personal emails, we can have upto 10 emial accounts added to it. just we should have a unlimited data plan from our service provider. if you have that it is more than a blackberry. if you want any further clarification or arugement on this, i can give youmy contact number or you can and we can talk.
