dhiraj, 03 Jul 2010hey guys im planning to buy bb 8900 ..hwz d fone is it worth buying??I have had an 8900 for approx 4 months.
The biggest problem i've found is that the keys are too close together, i find myself constantly re typing mails & texts and dialing the wrong numbers.
Currently looking at the 9700, bigger gap between the keys.
And ooh, i dont really have chubby fingers ! :)

why does my phone hang sometimes?? i have to reboot it to get rid of it, but sadly it wil have the same prob again...

Via the PC software for example or d... more1)Yes
2)It depends how you use the trackerball. If you use it with care it will last if not every 3 weeks you must change the trackerball or clean it.
1) Can the software of the phone be updated by the user?
Via the PC software for example or does it have to be sent to the service provider? and how easy is it to do.
2) Does the trackball really give a lot of problems as people say it does?
Also looking at the BB Bold 9650.
Not to fond of the Track Ball prefer navigation pad.
the battery timming sucks, they say its standby time is 256h but it dosent work ..i love my blackberry8900 but the battery timing :(
TurK, 28 Jun 2010The battary sucks! i recharge it 1-2 times per day! :SMy battery is fine.. i charge it every 2 days and use my phone alot.maybe need a new battery?
Like every piece of equipment released, ever, some people will have issues with a handset.
This is not a fault of the series, but of that handset unless conclusive evidence is recognised as a general fault.
The Curve 8900 has none of these beyond the expected issue of overtime usage of the trackball.. just over a year of usage before it becomes slack.
If the handset is looked after it will last until the next upgrade.
It is a fantastic phone and will leave you with no regrets (unless you are one of those unlucky people that finds the rubbish amongst the gold)
A great camera, a solid feel, ease of use and excellent battery life. Only thing is the 2G not 3G issue, and thats only a problem for those that want to surf the internet through a phone.. which I recommend you do not do..
