mobius, 15 May 2010Folks...I am confused in choosing between Nokia N72 and Blackberry 8900. I have been hearing m... moreThe Bold 9700 is practically a Curve 8900 but with 3G and a trackpad. Now your main differences are camera 5MPX vs 3.2MPX and price. Not sure which is cheaper but at least they are more alike. Choose the one that suits you the best. If you get a BB, you will need a BIS plan in order to use all the features. So choose wisely.

hey guys! i need help i got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 and i need to format it how can i do that?
Folks...I am confused in choosing between Nokia N72 and Blackberry 8900. I have been hearing mixed reviews about these phones.
Nokia seems to have a 5MP camera,3G while BB8900 has a 3.2MP and no 3G phone. Also, I read reviews on dismal trackball performance in BB.
Appreciate your response.
raj, 02 May 2010hi freinds m planning to go for an bb 8520 can i use my prepaid connections or should i go for... moreThe model of the phone should have to do with wether it's postpoid or prepaid. This phones can normally work with prepaid or postpaid contracts. What you need to do is to check with your operator whether they do or not support prepaid service for blackberry and if there's any sort of limitation for specific phones which I believe that should not be that way, but you never know, the commercial guys are not to be fully trusted, Lol
Anonymous, 10 May 20108520 is an entry level phone for blackberry, it has minimal specs. so if you want performance ... moreSure, this peace of device great. I just hate the fact that it's trackball eventually fails to roll and above all it has no 3G - Gosh!
Anonymous, 13 May 2010the 8900 comes with gps.... sorriYeah, I forgot people make a big deal out of GPS, but I don't. I used google maps and it worked well without GPS. But, then again, I don't use GPS that much.
RK, 13 May 2010No,
There are more...
3.Track Ball Navigation
.....Divx/Xvid are also supported on the 8520 and I think the trackpad is smoother and easier to use, plus it doesn't get stuck like trackballs do.
GPS, yeah, forgot about that one.
hey curve 8900 is anytime better if compared.
why do u thnk its expensive :P
and also the camera and the other features are way better.
Anonymous, 10 May 20108520 is an entry level phone for blackberry, it has minimal specs. so if you want performance ... moreThe only things the 8900 has over the 8520 are
- screen res
- camera res + flash
Everything else is the same.
While 320x240 is lower, it's still a common spec these days, and you can't really tell the difference until holding them side by side.
Camera flash should be a must these days, but as most would say, buy a camera phone for decent pics, like a SE, Nokia, Samsung, etc.
Anonymous, 08 May 2010how can you say 8900 is better than 8520, are you out of your mind?8520 is an entry level phone for blackberry, it has minimal specs. so if you want performance 8900 is your better bet, only problem for the 8900 is the trackball but im willing to overlook that
