Love this phone extremely. In fact I am writing this with the phone. The pros of this phone is its size, beauty, camera etc This phone is perfect, no 3g but if you can do without it then go with this phone you won't be sorry, I'm not.
Can anyone please tell me how to use the GPS on this phone? I have the data plan and when I enter the address it either says that it can't load it or the address isn't found. What should I do, I want it to give me directions as well as talk. Thanks!
WWR, 27 Aug 2009I am not sure why people are comparing the Nokia E71 to a BBerry... Apples and Oranges. I own ... moreI couldnt agree with u more.. There is realy no comparison of the nokia e71 and the bb 8900... Who would want a device a metallic build and is just as capable as the 8900 in terms of feature and funtionality.. why would we purchase a device that is cheaper and doesnt compromise its features for a phone that has a similar design as its 8250, Bold, and Tour counterparts. Mind um blackberry hasnt made a significant browser and obviously understand there weak points in a capable browser due to recent aquisitions.
I am not sure why people are comparing the Nokia E71 to a BBerry... Apples and Oranges. I own both. The Berry BLOWS the Nokia away. 3G vs. 2G is not an arguement to even start. Signal strength, call clarity, better browser and email clients... shall I continue? Nokia is fine, but the menu diving to complete a simple task (messaging) is ridiculous! And yes, I even have CuteKeys installed. 8900 is a wonderful device.
Hi, can anyone tell me how to transfer my contacts from my Nokia 5800 Express Music Phone to my Black Berry 8900?Can't seem to get it done.
nels, 26 Aug 2009i want to buy bb curve 8900 but i have 2nd thought 'coz it doesn't support 3G HSDPA. what is t... more3g is not needed on this phone all it does is make the internet go slightly faster but at a big cost to battery life the 2g that the curve runs is more than enough on this phone and for what most people use it for
Yes it has a document viewer just like the Bold. The fundamental differences between the Bold and the Javelin are 3g and the camera. I used the Bold for a while and have just changed to the javelin and am happy with it. The only downfall is the 2g speed being much slower however the battery issues with running 3g on the Bold was not worth the pain.
i want to buy bb curve 8900 but i have 2nd thought 'coz it doesn't support 3G HSDPA. what is the importance of 3G HSDPA? anybody help me to decide plsssss....
its a nice phone
i used to own nokias but i liked my bb a lot
does anyone know a site from where i could download apps for my bb gsmes etc? thanks in advance
will nokia E72 will be able to defeat BB 8900 when it's launched. it depends on the need of the users, though both devices feature the same push e-mail function but still there are a big gap between BB n Nokia. for entertainment n multimedia features nokia E72 perhaps will win in most aspects, but some people wud still consider to have BB than nokia. BB will definitely wins in term of the IM application and also social networking app such ass facebook, BB OS has simpler UI that resorting in lack of slowing the device during everyday use, unlike Nokia. the pleasure of having a reminiscent application like in the PC for IM application can be a plus. n i believe when E72 comes out in the market the price will be outrageously expensive (typical Nokia's marketing strategy)
Mr.Nobody, 22 Aug 2009I wonder if the coming nokia E72 will beat this phone? anyone comment?no it wont
Does it come with a Document Viewer (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) like other Blackberries??
confused, 23 Aug 2009which is better, a blackberry curve 8900 or a bold and why? need help asap, plan to buy one n... more8900 is good as it's a more updated version of the curve family, curve's are good for the average person. The bold is also good and just the same but also includes 3G HSPDA, however, the battery on GPRS / EDGE last longer than the 3G, they all have 500+ MHz processors on the later BB's and more memory, but it's your choice.
sadly it doesnt support 3G, then am sorry, i love this phne, but i feel it too much for business people
