hi, i'm new user that changed my E71 with this phone~
currently I feel that this phone works great in connections needs, no 3G is fine, still fast :D
Its the best ever phone i have had so far, but to this comment the RIM and all the users have to agree "Please Work hard on all the phone's speakers" Please Please ... technology wise BB'S stand apart, I cant stop my self from raising this issue for such a perfect device. i have not experienced with storm but the rest are the same. I love the curves of this shortie and smartie baby! but when it sings loud i tell her be a bit polite honey ;-). but i still love it. I would say Splendid work RIM!
Opera mini is a MUSt for the curve 8900, the standard browser is crap you cant read the small text. .opera mini gives you much better text size and better view and browsing over all.

Don't be so upset. Your reaction is understood, but be fair, there are thousands of Anonymous comments in this and other gsmarena forums. The word Anonymous is automatically generated whenever the "your name" box is left blank when submitting a post. Simple!
OMG!! I can't help it!! I need one!! It's the perfect phone... although it differs from one person to another how much you need it, if you're working you need it, if you have people living away you may consider it, since it costs ALOT less, and it would also matter if people around you have it, because if you call from B.B. to a normal phone or send msgs, it will cost the same... although, if people around you DO have it it's only for the best that you join in the fun!!
DONT WANNA WASTE ANY MONEY?? THEN WHAT'RE YOU WAITING FOR, THERE IS NO POSSIBLE BETTER PHONE!!=)
Just trying to post my opinion for the first time - Used the E71 for like a year till last week; i got this curve 8900. Honestly, E71 is a bit more advance in features but still this Curve rocks!
I'm not really a deep tech guy but i really enjoy QWERTY phones.. the curve is my 3rd (Sony P1,E71 then Curve 8900)and I'm really pleased...
Buy it - beleive me - no regrets

US , 31 Jul 2009satisfied....compare to e71 , BB is much more better..especially for business man and people w... moreI am a BB fan myself, but with the E71, you can ask your operator for BB subscription which most providers happily give. Then you don't have to go online all the time. The E71 supports BB function.
It is by far the best phone I have used. I had the TYTN II before this and the 8900 was the only one I felt could replace it. It did not disappoint me.
However, on the flip side, it has a major drawback. If you make more than 3-4 calls lasting more than 15 minutes each, the keys tend to stop functioning. I took it to the BB people who after some haggling gave me a new phone as replacement. But a month later, this one has gone the same way.
I'll be again asking for a replacement, but will stick to the 8900. (Or maybe I'll pay the difference and go for the Bold!).
new bb user, 29 Jul 2009what is a good site for bb apps? You should be able to access it on the blackberry with all the free apps you can hit. Look for "blackberry" in the menu :)
