SHEAN, 19 May 2009Thank you Steffy! I've read your post to cfm69. I have question, Why everytime i go to any pho... moresome stores are just trying to make more commision. When the agent goes and sells you a phone they wont offer any discounts/credits due to it comes out of their pocket.
Customer services can give discounts and will not impact them. Some of them are looking to get extra money, when they sell packages( such as data pack, voicemail ect..) even accesories, they just wanna sell sell sell.
ask all the questions you need before buying a phone at a store , dont feel presured. either way if you buy the phone. you have a 30day/ 30 minutes and you can bring the phone back if you dont like the phone.
Hope this helps you out on your decision.
I have had a very bad experience of curve 8900. I am trying to return it to Mobilink after only 2 months.
Thank you Steffy! I've read your post to cfm69. I have question, Why everytime i go to any phone shop in my place. Some shops says BB8900 has no WiFi must register to BB Data Plan then you can access to WiFi, some shops says it has WiFi even without BB Data Plan. Which one is telling the truth? I need advise!

Steffy, 17 May 2009It seems the keys on either side of the trackball are cracking under stress. The crack seemed ... more.thanks Steffy for the info
.i'm considering in buying this device but then one of my friend said i would be better not, because he and his mates are experiencing the same incident with the crack, so i just wondered if it just happened to them or to other 8900 users as well
since mid 2008, BB has been capturing the needs of high-end smartphone users in indonesia. putting aside the E series from nokia so vastly. i've never really tempted to use BB even though my friends r using them. but now i know that my needs in chatting with my friends from around the world, updating my emails and having them comfortably typed using qwerty keyboard, furthermore with a fix cost every month. i definitely will buy the new javelin with the price of 460 US dollars (unlocked), it's worth it.

The crack seemed to be a manufacturing default and therefore the manufacturers should be under contract to replace the device.

rico, 15 May 2009how do you remove my fave icons from your home screan? Your 6 home screen icons should be the first 6 icons in your "main menu" application screen. So in your main menu make the first 6 your most used.
what you do is click the Menu button ( the one with the dots on it) and then your gonna get a bunch of your buttons.
What you can do is select the buttons that you want on your screen( so example you want msn. and its at the bottom of your list,) what your gonna do is select your msn ( hover over it, dont click it) and then press the menu button again and then you should have a list that pops up and ask you what you wanna do, you can move the icon, hide it. what you wanna do is move the icon from the bottom to the top ( first of the list so all the way top left. and once you place it there, when you get out of your menu you should have your MSN that is the first icon on your "Fav buttons".
SHEAN, 16 May 2009All I need to know. If i buy BB8900, can i use WiFi without BB Data Plan?Ive already posted a answer to that question.
Please scroll down and look for my answer. aswell look on page 2 if its not longer on this page.
cfm69, 13 May 2009So if i decided to buy another phone which can access to any WiFi coverage area without data p... morewell there are many phones out there, that can access wifi, tho ive only had experience with phones due to i work in a call center. i have the following models w580 Ericson, LG shine and the BB 8100. ive had experience with the Bold due to my friend has it.
Other then the texture of the phone. the phone is great i love it im thinking of getting that model. tho i do like this phone aswell i got to handle it. only thing that i think the downfall of bold is that the buttons are to close together. other then this phone it keeps the same Keyboard characteristics such as there is spacing. so i know where my letters are on my phone. other then the bold i would have a hard time not looking at my phone while typing.
i would recomend this phone due to the battery life is a little better then the bold. and that its a little more smaller .
Now.. if you do activate a 2nd line( example with rogers) you are allowed a 30 minutes / 30 days policie. that if you dont use the full 30 minutes and you dont like the phone you can return the phone. I WOULD recomend that you get this at the store and not calling customer care cause it would take alot longer for us to get the phone back as opposed to if you got it at a store the agent can call their team and cancel the line immideately
Hope that helps out on your decision. mind you this is just compared to the BOLD 9000 VS 8900 Javelin.
