BlackBerry

That's right folks - no less than four BlackBerry devices are almost as good as officially announced. The devices in question are the BlackBerry Magnum, BlackBerry Gemini and BlackBerry Onyx, which have been wandering the internet for a while now, and a relatively new face - the BlackBerry Pearl 3G. The other news is that all of the handsets are set to appear on AT&T's shelves eventually.

One of the most interesting of the bunch, BlackBerry Onyx has already been taken for a quick spin over at CrackBerry.com and has made quite a good first impression. The device is coming with tri-band 3G/HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi and one of those marvelous 480x360 RIM displays. It also sports a 3.5mm standard audio jack, a microSD card slot and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Basically the BlackBerry Onyx is a Bold in a more compact shell.

The other hot name, BlackBerry Magnum, is still in earlier stages of its development, so here we are speaking of planned features, rather than final specs, but those two coincide more often than not. The Magnum is said to be the BlackBerry Bold portfolio evolution and will combine QWERTY and Touch technology (yeap - there you heard that right). Sporting the same CPU as the Bold it will feature 3G (we are also guessing HSDPA here), GPS, Wi-Fi and an HVGA (480 x 320 pixels) display.

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G comes to reinforce the once highly-popular SureType series, which recently have gone in oblivion. The Pearl 3G will pack tri-band HSDPA, GPS, a microSD card slot and a 3.5 mm standard audio jack. Its display specs are yet to be decided but a high-res unit is almost a done deal. There will also be a camera on board but its resolution is, too, yet unkown.

Finally, on the lower end of the spectrum, BlackBerry will be introducing the handset codenamed Gemini. It will pack a powerful CPU with a clock frequency of at least 512 MHz and a QVGA display. There will also be a 2 megapixel camera onboard, as well as a hot-swappable microSD card slot and a 3.5mm standard audio jack. The GPS for the BlackBerry Gemini might be available as an option (we are guessing some kind of dongle).

While the release dates or the pricing of the handsets are yet to be disclosed, we are guessing the Onyx cannot be too far away now. We'll see how long will it take for the guys over at RIM to finish the rest.
