Shahid Kapoor, 29 Aug 20109105..good phn.....but 9800 Torch is the Best Phone ever made by BB..The Torch is quite a phone I agree, however it's a pretty big beast and heavy in the pocket, whilst it's a treat to finally see RIM produce a phone with a 5 megapixel camera and greater internal memory (although yet to see whether apps can be stored on the 4gb internal memory) it's a shame not to see it in the usual lighter chassis as see with the Pearl, Curve and Bold, but this is probably just a stepping stone as they works towards a model that will emcompass the best of each current model in a new and competative package.
benny, 29 Aug 2010appy customer, personally, which one do you prefer? 9650 or this one? Tough one to call, before purchasing the 9105 i did weigh this up against the latest models out, the 9105 edges out by a nose, it's smaller, lighter, longer battery life, better screen definition, and a faster CPU in my opinion, but the Bold does have greater internal memory, which is useful for applications, until we get a firmware update that allows us to store apps to memory cards instead, my advice is if your after a solid, fast Blackberry and want to run alot of apps, then the Bold is your best bet, but if you want a phone that can play high definition videos, and runs faster, then the Pearl is your phone, most models now do the same thing it's subtle differences in the package dependent on how you use it that'll define your choice of Pearl, Bold, Storm, or Curve.
Anonymous, 29 Aug 2010Does the 9105 have free navigation? The phone comes with free navigation via Blackberry Maps, however this is a basic application and not as advanced as OVI maps, and relies on a working internet connection. Depends what you are after really. It won't replace in-car navigation, and won't call directions but it does rely on a GPS compass and you can follow your route which is marked out for you much like google maps, which works just as well. The GPS runs pretty quickly, which can't be faulted, for what it is and what it does, it's sound GPS mapping, with map and satellite viewing.
