I purchased BB Pearl a week back. The best thing is its track ball to surf. The body is quite good and scratch resistant.
Camera is fine in day light and flash is useless in indoor light.
Sure type gives good typing speed if ur thumbs are not BIG BIG..
Overall display quality is awsome and performance is good.
I have never found that phone hangs.
Its a good phone.
Just keep the OS updated. I think latest is Ver 4.2.
I got a pearl recently. Can someone tell me, how does the document viewer work in Pearl. I have Palm too. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pdf viewer is loaded on the Palm. I can store documents in the Palm and view anytime. Does the same thing happen in Pearl too? How? Thanks
OK....I found out how to upload these videos lol! I "borrowed"...hehe...a converter software online and I converted my videos into whichever format I needed to upload the stuff. If anyone needs help loading videos, reply to this forum and I'll help you out ^_^
Some people don't really have time like you to go to the mobile store and ask questions. In addition, you are one of the special few that puts half a dozen commas in ONE sentence lol! And no, I'm not an English teacher or English major.
Some questions you guys ask are so pathetic, basic information is told just up from these oppions, talking about oppions, oppions mean a personal thought about something, this is not a FAQ. It's not that hard to walk into your local mobile shop and ask to test out the Pearl and ask the sellers personal oppion then and their.
Remember this =User Oppion

hi there!can anyone tell me if 8100 can support 1Gb sd? what is the biggest card supported by Pearl?
Below is a quote from the Blackberry site. I know how to convert files, but WHAT IN THE WORLD do they mean when they say, "containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263". Could someone please explain to me???
The following Video formats are supported:
MPEG-4 Part 2 - Simple Profile + bvops (including DivX files in this format)
H.263 Profile 0 and Profile 3
The following Video file extensions are also supported:
.avi containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
.mov containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
.3gp containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
.mp4 containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
.m4v containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
.mpg containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
the video features are great if you convert to mp4... i dont know who assumed it didnt have video... way wrong
Hey Charlie, you said this mobile doesnt support video player, doesn't it even record a video ? what about PC connectivity n is its sound quality good? .. plz tell .. thanx

I am having a lot of trouble loading any videos into my Pearl. It says error when I load something over 2.5MB and it can BARELY play anything under 2.5MB. I try using an avi file and a mpg file. Any ideas? I did some research and was suggested to use a MPEG-4 file for video uploads.
