Anonymous, 17 Oct 2015Wifi charging is available for this device.I would imagine you will only need to charge it at bed time with this battery. I have the passport, it's approx the same size and it lasts all day and eve with about 20% left

There are 50 million blackberry phone users and over 60 million qnx users. The qnx users has not gone done. It jumped by 10 million in less than one year.. With the buyout of GOOD blackberry is managing the majority of apple devices used by enetrprise and governments besides the android devices.
The PRIV, represents a Qwerty keyboard . Qwerty has always had its fans but ovee the years the number of companies making qwerty with a slide out has shrunk, but there are still today slide out qwerty device users, besides blackberry. Remember when you would send a textbto, your wife during a meeting as you did this hidden under the table? My nephew still has his and it could easily be reactivated. The LG, Motorola, still have slide out keyboard devices in circulation. You can spot them as they slide out from the side as apposed to the PRIV which slides out from the bottom. There are millions of slide out keyboard users, even today. They are inexpensive devices ranging from 150 to 400 dollars. Europe and asia is where you see alot of them. Qwerty android high end, the PRIV is the first. Since many android and ios users did not return to blackberry because of "poor apps availability", the market research experts expect a portion of the 1 billion android market to jump onto this high end Qwerty device. The slab part of the device moves as fast as any slab out there, the picture quality is as good as some of the best high end samsungs, plus the qwerty , which contrary to what Tom Cook would say, still has its dyehard fans who has been patiently waiting for something like this to come along. There are thousands of bloggists out there who have been publishing negativity about the blackberry brand since the first IPhone release and since AT and T became Apple's exclusive brand distributor with the first I Phone. In the tech industry, with staggering profit pote tial, it is common practise for tech giants to spend money to wage a war on the brand name of the competitor through media, including tv brands like cnbc. Just because a tv anchor says something it does not make it true. With over 3 billion in its bank account Blackberry is not going to close anytime soon. As for its cellphone device strategy, I agree with most experts that it will be serving maybe 2-5 percent of the total global cellphone pie, or maybe up to 10 percent of android. And even if their size of the pie is less than that, even if people do not like the PRIV , the company basically owns the EMM space for all devices with the buyout of GOOD. Next month the company will be testing a tracking device for containers that can be monitored via internet on a IOT platform tombe used by transportation companies around the world, from ships, to trucking, to airplanes, to trains. These devices are compact, are installable very quickly and are very sturdy. The hardware will help the topline in sales plus the subscription will bring in steady monthly income.
Do not believe what the competition wants you to believe.
Enjoy your devices, be it blackberry or apple or android.
There is room for more than two players in the phone industry just as there are alot of room for. ore than two car manufactureres

I agree, and I have the same experience, from z10 to Passport, and maybe next this, though since under contract I might have to hope BB continues on and get the next in the series. Though it is worth noting I like the size and spacing of the passports keyboard, so with this being slimmer in that respect it may not be as comfortable for me to type with the Priv as the Passport is.

The only thing I want that I haven't found mentioned is qi wireless charging. It might take longer to charge, but at night or whatever time you choose to sleep it's not an issue. Helps save the usb port and is truly as simple as putting your phone down.

I don't understand the people coming in here complaining about the presence of a physical keyboard, being supposedly obsolete. blah, blah, blah. What's the matter with you guys? Can't get the fact that there are people like me who prefer physical keyboards regardless? IF you don't like this keyboard, there are thousands of other phones out there for you! Just leave this one to us. Sheesshh!

Because it is BlackBerry. Do you ever heard anyone complaint about Nokia and BlackBerry except when it comes to their os preference. That is because of their amazing built quality and the material choices.
