DME100, 21 Oct 2009Having owned a 9500 for almost a year, I do fancy the look of the new up coming Bold. I have ... moreif u need a practical phone wihch shold b user friendly....sony ericsson aino is the one for u.....
Not friendly at all....bluetooth should be compartible to other phones....i still prefer the E-71(Nokia)
Having owned a 9500 for almost a year, I do fancy the look of the new up coming Bold. I have never owned a qwerty phone, could someone please either recommend or not which is better for practical use - qwerty or or touchscreen? (Please, no negative comments just because some of you were dissappointed with the Storm's all round use.)
The biggest disappointment is no flash support. The speakerphone is annoying when you're regularly on overseas conference calls. Most of the Apps for this BB are consistently unstable. Looking forward to flash support in next upgrade.
it would be even better if it had a 10 mp camera 2 gb ram, free lifetime internet , 1 tb harddisk, and a torchlight.
how do i select all on BB9500, Like i want to select all pictures in my pictures folder, how do i go about doing that.
Pliz some1 help, i need to do something as urgent as possible
I personally wouldnt recommend this phone to my enemy its absolutly disgusting no wifi and has alot of faults with the LCD and digitizer i prefer the BB 8900 curve or the nokia E71 which both are better looking and feautre wise are alot better and praciticaly perform better :D
i heard that storm 2 would be released first in england on october..hope that it's true..
I thought that the worst phone I ever owned was the Samsung Omnia. The Blackberry Storm 9500 tops the Omnia. It is unwieldy, the screen-lock is a bit of a joke (and you need a good locking device for touch-screen), the battery life is not what its promised to be, u need to charge twice a day, phone reception is poor, I could go on and on...
why blackberry handsets are too expensive /other brand handsets features equal to blackberry handsents are available in 3 times less price/ then why buy blackberry/ they have nthng special other then other brands/BB HANDSETS ARE UNAFFORDABLE IN INDIA
It could be great if it has wifi, front camera, 256MB RAM, Flash support, OS flawless, battery and touch good enough. May be few things can be resolved in upcoming firmware version.
can't video call, no wifi. I think i prefer another smartphone like i780, e71 etc
Storm 2 is no better!
They are having trouble with the piezo technology. The buttons that are on the base of this model are integrated into the screen on Strom 2 and they don't always function! There is also lag reported and moreover the camera is STILL 3.2 and rubbish, no secondary camera either. Ask yourselves whether BB offer you ANYTHING more than ANY other phone, for the higher price and you will be forced to the conclusion they are just hipe. BB you to have an advantage, it has simply gone.
when the hell is the storm 2 coming out. My upgrade date is approaching fast and this is the phone i want otherwise i will be tempted by other phone is i have to wait
What does eveyone think about the new BB Storm 2 that due to be released later in month.
Does anyone recommend it at all? I'm not interested in the Storm 1 as it has no wifi but I hear storm 2 does, so am tempted by it.
I had a BB Bold and was a little disappointed with it, only cause it crashed all the time.
No wifi is okay because we know it does not have wifi. And BlackBerry units must activate BlackBerry internet service. So 24hours you login with GPRS/EDGE/3G.
I only want to know that there is any updated version or near future to improve browser, battery and touch. I mean no flash support, battery is not good and with touch not easy to type emails and messages etc. I have currently version 220.127.116.11
When the storm was released, there were a number of software issues, but thanks to a recent upgrade on the software, the phone is excellent, surpassing any other touch-screen phone on the market, even apples iphone 3GS.
The memory capacity, the camera, the push email service, the instant message facility, no phone on the market can beat it. Blackberry forever
I have to say the only draw back is no wifi, once you set the phone up the way you want it and upgrade the operating system (I am using.168) the phone rocks. Where else can you get all the info you want on the home page? Emails, upcoming dates and appointments, birthdays.etc. Just get a today screen for it, there are plenty of free ones. I personally use Flamboyant, i like the bold colors. You can even set the type of font and size you prefer. It does office work natively, as well as games and music, the camera is ok.. the bluetooth needs airshare to get the most out of it, again, free. The touch screen is perfectly legible under direct sunlight which most touch screens aren't. And the "clickable" screen works fine, it is just different, and as far as I am concerned better than just touch, much less mistakes. The reception is as good as any Nokia I have had and the voice quality is fine. I would definitely recommend this phone, and look forward to a wifi version.
