I really do wonder about those who are charged with marketing at RIM. They clearly know little and do a poor job. With that iphone thing taking all the news, RIM need to keep the profile up on the Storm 2 to prevent purchasers migrating to Apple. This, of course will be the tendency anyway given the poor performance of Storm 1 and little sign that change of significance is in prospect with Storm 2. Notice how quiet it has gone of late on Storm 2? Notice also the very poor average scores this phone attracts on this cite. Ask yourself why before you contemplate a purchase.
1 Clear Screen
2 Good audio
3 Good agenda
4 handles emails well
5 it's being replaced
1 Hopeless camera.
2 Slow and laggy
3 Build quality
4 Floppy unresponsive screen
6 Hefty price
8 Dull menus
9 lack of free useful applications
10 It has not been replaced with something that works and has a proper set of features.
Storm is a very good phone , i bought 1 from verizon and got it unlocked from stormunlocker.com and its workin on my tmobile sim now.what a cool touch screen.
I have my storm for like a month?
i agree to most pp that wi-fi might be a turn off for this phone. however, most BB user tend to sign up for an internet plan, for email , BB pin. so no matter with or without wi-fi is the same?
freeze? never happen so far
slow ? not really quite fast
Sounds ? good quality of sounds
Picture ? agree with most pp, if u are lookin for a photo shoot u must else get a digital camera.
and i find it easier to type than iphone.
before i purchase this phone, i did do a research , and i knew most of the feedbk was negative. however i take a risk , and never regret buying it. it a great phone though , but u jus need some patient to get use to the function. ! and yet the Video thingy is great !
the only one problem is that in the uk you can only get it on vodafone, and to be fair the service is so bad, iv had to send my storm back, they didnt fix it properley now they want me to go another week without it, only bad comment about the storm, apart from that it is perfecttt

A few months having my storm my camera and video camera won`t play it says close other application and try again and the phone stopped ringing WHAT`S UP
i like the blackberry storm and the iphone 3G, i had a hard time choosing last december but i end up with the iphone 3g. it was a great phone, using it for 5 months now. i will buy again a new phone next year, and i wanted it to be the next blackberry storm. i was happy and excited to know there will be a new storm, and it will have a wifi and improved touchscreen. i just hope the new storm dont have or can turn off the autorotate in the home screen. that was the only thing i dont like about this phone, it has almost complete features i needed, but the autorotation in the homescreen really made me choose the iphone. i just think it will cause user a delay or its annoying when its not lock, the home screen keeps autorotating accidentally and will cause delay specially when it lags. i hope rim will do something to it, as it is not needed. i just thought users really uses screen auto rotation only in keyboard texting, web browsing, music player, photo viewing, video playing, applications and games. home screen does not need to be rotating. iphone is perfect in it, as its screen only rotates wer it needs to be rotated. i just thought the storm over used the screen auto rotation.
This baby does not support Wifi? Than how we link wireless. Anyone can help enlighten....
This is Blackberry Roadmap:
• BlackBerry Curve 8900 in Q1
• BlackBerry Storm variant in Q2
• BlackBerry 9220 (Magnum, think BlackBerry Curve 8900 with 3G) in Q3
• BlackBerry 9900 (Pluto, think Bold with touch screen) in Q4
The Bold and new Storm 2 look great.
roni, 21 May 2009blackberry phones are not very easy to use as nokia e series models.iam using nokia e75 which ... moreThe E75 is not same as what Blackberry sells. I had E75 but after two weeks alot of problem I sold it back to shop. I did actualy bought the Blackberry Curve 8900 which I am very Happy with. My First Blackberry, my second number change from E66 to Bold and kept my 3rd number with E71 Nokia. You just have to take time to get use to Blackberry system after that is easy. I now use it for 10 days and no problem.
