I had a galaxy S for about two months after I had the Storm (which was just a piece of crap) The Galaxy had a great screen and did a lot of things really well but for me, it didn't do the basic things nearly as well as a Blackberry. And the way it handles data (the same as the I-Phone) just bogged it down. I went back to the Torch, and I am incredibly pleased with the phone. Great touch screen, built like a tank, and handles the basics... your phone, email, and don't forget messenger, better than anything else out there.
I have been with all BB's for years and upgraded frequently.
This one is the top for proffesionals and others.
It is fun to work, surf, talk, mail, watch videos and listen.
For the battery, I suggest that you order the box charger with second battery as I did with my previous Bold.
The phone is formidable.
Sold back this phone to dealer only after 1 week using. Not satisfied, keyboard too small. Comfortability way behind by Nokia E90 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab. Have to cramp my fingers while typing. If only they make a bigger Tourch, the phone will stay with me for at least 2 years.
Forgot to add 1 thing,
How big are the texts when using gtalk, is it very tiny or big enough?
Dear 9800 users,
Just a quick question, I need the best possible phone to use gtalk, how well does it work in the torch? And is it possible to make voice calls through gtalk with my blackberry 9800?
Quick reply appreciated.
Been using this phone for about a week now, so far my review is in between. The battery is not good, i have to always have my car charger with me because it will die by night time. I had a 9700 and to be onest, the 9800 is like the 9700 but with a tocuh screen so its not really much of an upgrade. 9800 is a great phone, but if you want a phone to last all day, not the best choice
keshav chopra, 13 Dec 2010HI people . I am writing a full review of my blackberry experience. I purchased a torch about ... moreCan this phone be used with Idea and normal GPRS service. OR does it need only blackberry service to view emails and internet.
I find it very difficult bluetooth or transfering media or files to another, not all of my files can be sent via bluetooth, whot do I do then?
Say what you will about the Torch, read what reviews are available; but the conclusion has to be, based upon what users think, is that this is a good phone and far better than the Storm and as such it must be judged a success.

Had a Bold 9000 and 9700 and now I upgraded to 9800.
I was able to transfer every thing without any problems.
The Torch is a breeze of BB tech,Fast and professional.
With the new OS 246 is even better.
On the other side Heats up a little bit after talking for a while or surfing in the internet.
Battery charge is variable depending on how much internet you do.
Overall is much better that its predecessors.
