BlackBerry Torch 9800 - user opinions and reviews

Yeah the only people who would go for this phone are existing blackberry users. I really can't really imagine a non BB user finally deciding to get one based on this model. Especially with Android and Apple devices having as as competitive business features.

people on this board keep comparing this to the iphone 4, just stop people, this phone is in a different category maybe with palm, iphone is with all andriod phones so dont even compare, i have had blackberrys for 3 years and started using an iphone 1 year ago and let me say this...iphone kills blackberry by a long shot, if you are reading this and have a blackberry just go try out an iphone for 1 month and ull be convinced. Blackberry is boring, yes BBM but who cares if you can just text someone also!... anyway best of luck to blackberry, hope they dont claim bankruptcy as they went all the way up to 175$ in stocks and dropped dramatically to 50$ and struggling...

Hi there
I just wish that all you Apple and Samsung users stay of the Black Berry phones! BB is the best no matter what you lot say! I find that Samsung has gone very back of the road way and that the look is also much desired for! Apple just suck in plain English!
Go and diss some other phones!

i got it for USD 750 from usa.
it has AT&T logo on it but its unlocked i am using it with zain number and till now no problems with it ..
i use it for my office emails too pefect... feel good in the hands too...

[deleted post]wake up i went to 2 at&t stores and every rep there had bb....they even did a side by side test with the torch and the crap phone 4 and the torch was ar least 3 times faster. plus the crap had 1 bar of reception which the torch has 5 bars wuth 3g.....a phone is make and receive calls, email text and not to mention bbm which the crap phone will never have the it took apple 4 models just to put a flash on the camera wake up iphone 4 = psp blackberry is for real men......drop the crap phone once and he screen cracks i threw my old blackberry curve and did not hace a single crack on it

The HTC Desire compair to Samsung Galaxy S i9000 not as good. The screen and sound on music and movies so great on Samsung Galaxy S.
HTC Android need to improve their new version of their android what ever coming in future. Desire works great but really not as good as Galaxy. Galaxy also have the Dvix which is great. But for some reason when i had the Desire it seems faster than Galaxy. Galaxy lags sometimes. but beside that it is great.

This phone is only good when compared to an older Blackberry. In other words this phone has no business in the same breath as the HTC Desire or the Iphone.
The only people that will buy this crap are people who have blackberries. They are just too damn obsessed with the keyboard. This phone is only worth buying if its less then 80 dollers on a 3 year contract.
Goodluck to Blackberry as your stock plummets.

I had two Bold 9700 and change both to Torch and I am loving it. I do owen iPhone and it is as good as my BB. Great job Apple and Blackberry.

I've upgraded to the Torch 9800 from the Bold 9000. I have been around pretty much every BB model out there as I am an Administrator at a forum Exclusively for Blackberry's (Remko's Mobile Forum free DL in App World). The BB Torch 9800 is by far the BEST BB to date. Huge improvements in just about every category. The best improvement RIM did was the "increase" in the App Memory. I'm not constantly forced to reboot all the time due to the lack of App Memory. Hopefully they will continue expanding the App Memory with future models. However for now, RIM has out done them selves with the Torch. Great Job!!! A MUST HAVE if you're a Blackberry addict!!
