can someone help me with selecting blackberry phone as i see no or marginal difference in hardware (CPU) & software of tourch bold & pearl, then why would someone pay more just for 1 or 2 addition.

I had a Storm previously and was glad to be rid of it, so I got the Torch with trepidation. Guys, you can read all the reviews and opinions you like, but until you get your hands on this device you will not appreciate what a well sorted peice of kit this really is. Everything is intuative, no lag and a dream to use. Well made and has all the useful apps one would want and the ability to delete the rubbish. Seriously impressed and a convert. I would urge those who are even vaguely thinking of the Torch to go and give it a test drive before you part with your hard earnt.

My BB torch start lagging and the batery drain fast due to the lagging. Anyone please tell me what to do? There is a caution state that undefined error. How to get rid of it?

Phone is good but my experience about battery life is not that good, business phone need more backup. Like other phones while you are on call one can save contact details but here one cannot save any contact details. Not able to see any Helpdesk in India nor i am able to see any international online helpdesk.

Well all you people posting good reports about the Torch means that I get mine on Monday next, so I hope you are right. Torch 2 now would be nice, but one can keep chasing spec, and I got a great deal on Torch 1 which has halved my monthly contract cost.

hi to all i m using bb 9780 from last 3 mnths,and its really ROCK,bb 9800 torch my frnd using,its hopeless,waste of money better to buy bb9700 or bb9780....LOL....

BB torch 9800 is really a master piece! For me it works more like a palmtop pc. Performance wise it is highly upgraded more than BB bold variants. It is a must have for upwardly mobile professionals as various apps from app world can easily be downloaded with almost unlimited capacity/memory.
However, the battery life needs further improvement to sustain usage of various apps

I think the battery life is good. Today I was out on the Sydney Harbour and I made 3 calls, a few text messages, was taken photos and surfing Facebook and the battery is still showing full. I was out for 7 hours. The battery last quiet good.
I used a HTC Desire HD and the battery on that died every 3 hours, I took it back to store, got my money back and went Blackberry Torch instead and I don't regret it.
Mate, everyone uses there phones differently so battery life willnalso depend on the user. The BB Torch is a good phone.
