AnonD-929, 18 Feb 2011Hi there, I recently bought the AT&T version of the BB Torch 9800 and I'm absolutely lo... moreYes, everything is fine here apart from the built in storage. They should show 3.9GB or so.
Well all you people posting good reports about the Torch means that I get mine on Monday next, so I hope you are right. Torch 2 now would be nice, but one can keep chasing spec, and I got a great deal on Torch 1 which has halved my monthly contract cost.
The Torch is the best Blackberry to date! I can't wait for the Torch2 and Bold Dakota later this year!
crappy phone wish I never got it
Browser is terrible
Facebook app is stupid
just terrible dont buy ppl
hi to all i m using bb 9780 from last 3 mnths, and its really ROCK,bb 9800 torch my frnd using, its hopeless, waste of money better to buy bb9700 or bb9780....LOL....
BB torch 9800 is really a master piece! For me it works more like a palmtop pc. Performance wise it is highly upgraded more than BB bold variants. It is a must have for upwardly mobile professionals as various apps from app world can easily be downloaded with almost unlimited capacity/memory.
However, the battery life needs further improvement to sustain usage of various apps
Anonymous, 18 Feb 2011the company claims thast d batery life is excellent . hoever isers admit its battter is nt upt... moreHi
I think the battery life is good. Today I was out on the Sydney Harbour and I made 3 calls, a few text messages, was taken photos and surfing Facebook and the battery is still showing full. I was out for 7 hours. The battery last quiet good.
I used a HTC Desire HD and the battery on that died every 3 hours, I took it back to store, got my money back and went Blackberry Torch instead and I don't regret it.
Mate, everyone uses there phones differently so battery life willnalso depend on the user. The BB Torch is a good phone.
i have had my torch since december 24th , love it , however ! still seems to be a lack of apps for the uk market and has been a little laggy last few days ! any ideas on why ? help please ( this is my first blackberry and still learning the ways of R.I.M )
AnonD-929, 18 Feb 2011Hi there, I recently bought the AT&T version of the BB Torch 9800 and I'm absolutely lo... morethe company claims thast d batery life is excellent . hoever isers admit its battter is nt upto d level , i want to make a decision , is its baterlife reali gud?
I recently bought the AT&T version of the BB Torch 9800 and I'm absolutely loving it. I tell you I ain't missing my iPhone 4 yet lol, anyhow have a question regarding the internal memory capacity.
I was under the belief that that the internal memory capacity is 4GB with a 4GB SD Memory card. When I look at the storage capacity reading it states the following:
Free Space = 290 MB
Built in Media Storage:
Total Space: 99.7MB
Media Storage Card:
Total Space: 32GB ( I have a 32GB SD Card installed)
Am I right to say there should be 4GB of built in memory available. If there should be, what should I do, return it back to the seller/shop.
Please let me know,
My BBTorch has a rubber back cover....how tacky is that!!!! my Storm 2 was constructed with better material. Wake up RIM, your quality seems to be going backwards.
Well I have had this phone for almost a month now. I think it is awesome and I must admit I used to be a huge Nokia fan until my girlfriend convinced me to try this blackberry.
The only thing that bothers me though is that the battery seems to drain very quickly. But other than that it is a very good phone.
AnonD-1623, 16 Feb 2011whch one better? this phone or blackberry storm?TORCH is better than any phone. it seems has excellent features
