Anonymous, 09 May 2012Hi, I've been thinking about getting a BB phone for a few weeks and I'm gonna be a first time ... moreI am a new BB user and bought 9810. It has both physical and on-scream, both are easy to use. Just regret that my location has no BIS or BES, so, limited using mails and other applications.
Hi, I've been thinking about getting a BB phone for a few weeks and I'm gonna be a first time BB user. Would you all recommend me to get a bold 9900 or torch 9810? I personally feel that the physical keyboard of 9900 is easier to type compared to the keypad of 9810 cause it's slightly smaller. However, 9810 does have a bigger screen and looks sleek.

I was thinking about the HTC One X, not the One V. The One V does indeed have a microSD slot for storage. However, I think I hit the mark about everything else. I haven't heard anything as far as call quality and antenna strength. I know my 9810 is pretty good in those areas, though.

It also has a much bigger screen for enjoying media and web browsing. That said, there are things the 9810 has that the HTC One doesn't. The two most obvious are the qwerty physical keyboard and the External SD Card slot. Don't understand how HTC could make that great phone and not give it an external storage slot. I may be wrong, but I believe you are limited to the 16GB internal storage on the HTC.That can get used up quick with all your media stored and all the great apps you can get. The storage issue is a definite deal breaker for me. I'm waiting to see what the Samsung Galaxy S3 is like as it can do everything and then some that the HTC One can do plus it has an external storage slot. I'm also waiting to see what the BB 10 phones are like. They will be out later this year.
I would like to buy a new hp but still indecisive. HTC One V or BB 9810? can anyone pls give me some advice? thanks!

In that case,I think i will just buy any of either 9700 or 9780 while waiting for the New BB models. I really need to change my phone right now otherwise i would have waited. And about contracts, nothing like that in my country. You pay on the spot :)

The 9810 is good, but the BB 10 phones are supposed to be even better. As far as the loudspeaker, GSM Arena is basically right. Both my Motorola Atrix and RAZR2 V9x are quite a bit louder. However, if you go to Media, then open Options, you can click Audio Boost. This will boost the Speaker volume a little. The 9810 isn't extremely loud, but I"ve heard worse. Anyway, hope this helps.
Mr Thullarven. Nice work you are doing here. Been thinking of buying this mobile for 2 weeks now. As a first time user of BB and indeed touch screen, do you think this would be a good choice for me to get initiated with? GSMARENA says this has poor loudspeaker performance. How poor is it? Will i have to strain my ears to hear the phone ringing? Thanks.
anonymous, 08 May 2012pls, 9810 & 9860, which one is more preferable & why? Pls i need a sincere answer. Depends if you want a physical keyboard. They are very similar spec wise except that the form factors are different. The virtual keyboard on the 9860 is OK in landscape but sucks in portrait. If you do a lot of typing and email, get the 9810. If you mostly watch videos and don't type a lot, get the 9860. The battery is slightly better on the 9810. I prefer the 9810, but that's me.
AnonD-10558, 07 May 2012@Thullraven, does it come preinstalled with the premium version of Documents to go?Yes, as I have it on mine.

When it comes to bb.Thank u once again.

Nikki, 06 May 2012How is the camera of this BlackBerry??It's good but not great. It doesn't compare to the likes of the iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy S2.

The 9380 is like the 9810 without the keyboard. screen size is the same. The 9860 has a bigger screen so media would look best on it. The battery life on the 9860 isn't as good as the 9810.Not sure of the battery life on the 9380 since I never got to use one personally. The 9810 is heaviest, followed by the 9860. The 9380 is lightest.
I need to change my bb but dnt know which one to buy.pls u guys should tell me d best to buy.I'm thinking of buying. 9380,9810,9860 so guys which one is d best?need answers pls.
Anonymous, 05 May 2012Thank you so much for your supports so far on this page Thullraven! I tried upgrading to os 7.... moreI know the links for 7.1 upgrades could be found at Crackberry.com. You might also try BlackberryOS.com. If you backed up your phone, you could do a restore to previous software using Blackberry Desktop. You could also go to Blackberry.com, which has software update links. Your carrier should also have a link for software to show which is the correct software for you. Good Luck
