Plz .. Is The BlackBerry The Best Phones For Messengers LIke Yahoo & Msn And Also Facebook chat ??
@how did you know- features are pretty much the same. It's just that the 9810 has a bigger processor and better screen.I also heard that all the OS 7 phones have NFC capabilities but I don't know that for a fact as it isn't anything I have tried. The 9810 is slotted as 4G and it is fast. @Jo-I had heard through various forums that I visit that the QNX phones are supposed to be out early 2012. IMHO, I believe OS7 is the watered down practice run of QNX. Time will tell.
@BBFan-I didn't use the loudspeaker much on the 9800 nor do I use it much now on the 9810, but from what I've heard from personal use they sound about the same. They're both quite good, but I still think my old RAZR2 is louder. As far as battery life goes, they appear to be about the same.

vic, 29 Sep 2011wat do mean by for fun u can buy ........jofor fun: if you primarily stick on its amusements, video with higher quality of screen, internet browsing, games, photo and video editing, then go with 9810.
If you're only interested in its email and messaging: keep your 9800 in your hand.

OK. Here's the scoop between the 9800 and the 9810 as I have experience with both. I wrote a post some time ago about if it was worth it to upgrade from the 9800 to the 9810. What I said then still stands for the most part, but I shall update now that I really have quality time with the 9810 under my belt. If you are under contract with the 9800, no it is not worth it due to cost. If you are due for an upgrade, it depends on what you do with the phone. If you are a heavy web surfer as I am and like videos, then it is definitely worth it. If you're not a heavy web user and video watcher, then no it probably isn't. Let me tell you about the 9810 and you can decide. The 9810 is very fast at loading web pages, even faster than my iPod Touch. The screen resolution is better, but that doesn't matter if you aren't a video watcher. I have experienced minor glitches in OS 7 such as when I bring up picture files it might scroll on it's own. Very minor. I never have experienced any of the major problems others have stated, and I have had the 9810 almost as soon as it came out. If you all recall, the OS 6 software had glitches when it was first introduced but updates took care of that, just as future updates probably will address any stability issues in OS 7. You notice the better processor and OS mostly with the internet. The design IMHO is better on the 9800. The back of the 9810 doesn't feel quite as solid, although it really doesn't matter to me as I have a custom skin and cover on my 9810(I like my phones to be unique). Also, I want to point out something. A lot of my apps, games, and custom themes don't work on the 9810 because they are not compatible with OS 7. Hopefully, that will change over time. If you want an app heavy phone, go elsewhere entirely as BB App World doesn't compare to Android or especially the Apple App Store. in short, if you own a 9800 and are under contract, do not spend all that money for an almost identical phone. The thrill of a quick browsing experience will wear off fast when you remember all the money you dropped to get it. If you are due for an upgrade, can get the 9810 cheap (as I did), and are a web surfer, you will appreciate the 9810. I got my 9810 because I had a line due for an upgrade and I am not switching carriers. If I couldn't get it cheap, than I would have just waited for the BB QNX phones instead. Anyway, I hope this helps someone reading this. Any questions, just ask as I check this forum frequently.
When is gsmarena gonna review this? I have the original torch, I wanna know what the new one is like :D
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2011Can any one tell me;does it does it makes sense to drop 9800 for 9810.pls Advise me.If you are looking for fun it will be worth buying 9810 and put your 9800 aside. If you are likely to avail of its email and messaging functionality, buying 9810 would seem to be just a waste of your money!

OMG Great Improvenment on 9800 slick phone using now to connect laptop to internet in the middle on nowhere great connection hassle free setup just choose your carrier and you are connected processor is much faster OS7 is fine if you want a small powerful Blackberry this is the best yet NFC is available on on the bold 9900 but in 2 years time all phoes will have it and it will have some use until then this is a great Blackberry for sure!
misterT, 19 Sep 2011please am a windows mobile user....i want t buy bb for the first time should i go for 9900 or ... moreNot a 9800 whatever you do. I know so many who have had massive issues with this phone. I'm on my 3rd since AT&T will only send me more messes up phones under warranty. I was a BB fan, they missed the mark here! Afraid to buy the 9810, but I have to do something. Just want a smart phone that works!! And I need to adjust font larger, so stuck with BB.
Upgraded from 9800 to 9810.
The OS7 seems to lag many times and suddenly becomes very slow. Find it unstable compared to OS6.
No point in upgrading from 9800. Rather it is better to buy 9800 and save money as there is absolutely NO difference between the two.
Look, feel and performance there is no difference. Only diff is the price where you actually pay more for a silver back.
I am disappointed with this upgrade which has nothing special really.
