mine BB torch has a hard ware problem, like on the buttons, looks an repairable and dissapointed
Awesome mb is it this handset available in market & what is actual prize
This Torch has great hardware and midume performance. but this phone stuffed with errors in both hardware and software. I tested this phone for two month and i was amazed at first but then I got small errors. Because I am a patient man, I didn't look at these errors as a BIG problem. I've got to say this phone served well and gave me what need. after the first month I notic a problem in the "Back" key I have to press it 2 or 3 time to get a result. and then the "Menu" key not responding. I thought it was a frimware problem, so I upgread from 7.0 to 7.1 they chang few things, but the keys respond at first but then agine same thing. I had enough at that time, so I went to sell it. the price go 2/3 down (bought 1500, sell 500, lost 1000 in 2 month). At the market I found the same phone with the same problem, then I realized it was [manufacturers defect]< translated. if your looking for a blackberry go for bold or curve even these phones got problems. Now I have Galaxy S II. it's working fine for 3 month with NO problems at all. sorry I am not native english.
my handheld freeze very often. It als encounters lots of errors which in all case handheld must be upgraded in one way or the other. @ present, I have been off my berry for 72 hours.
I wish i could trade for BB Porsche design.
Its a good phone...but guide me samsung wave 3 or torch 9860
jhon, 19 Aug 2012which one is better, 9860 or 9810?Almost the same specs (cpu, memory, etc)except for the physical dimensions. The only deciding factor will be do you want a physical keyboard or not.
rbienes, 31 Aug 2012is the screen scratch-proof? i wanna buy one... i'm not really into apps because i have a high... moreIt is not scratch proof glass. That is how RIM was able to create a 'waterfall' effect for the design. It uses a single hardened plastic for the entire front. So don't forget to invest on a screen protector and hard/soft shell that wraps around the top and bottom of the front part.
nkay, 08 Sep 2012Hi, I've bn using my torch 9860 for one month now and it has bn hanging and freezing. Its very... moreTry to update your o.s.
But before updating your o.s., you can also try to do a factory reset. Backup all of your apps and data to a pc using BlackBerry Desktop Software, do a factory reset, and reinstall your 3rd party apps one by one.
If factory reset is not practical for you, just try uninstalling your 3rd party apps one by one starting with the latest that you installed. You will be able to isolate which app is causing the problem.
SONNET, 10 Sep 2012HI ALL.need help in 2 things as i am a new blackberry user. How do i stop auto rotating display... moreTo see which apps are open, make a long press on the menu button (BB icon). Switch to any of those apps, press the menu button again and select Close or Exit if the app has an Exit option.
The 9860/9850 does not have any setting to stop the autorotate feature. There are some apps for that. I paid for an app named sixtools and one of its features is to lock orientation.
I have Google Maps v4.5.3
My BB. OS is v7.0 bundle 2395.
I was able to install google maps from the web and it works.
I forgot which site but definitely not from app world.
Can we play Texas hold em poker in Facebook with 9860? If yes what are the steps to follow.
Is the BB torch 9860 can possibly block or barred the unwanted incoming calls/sms from some registered number in the phone?
it is a good phone but i cannot use Google Map on this device.. so i think that is the problem on it. but who can tell me if 9810 is better than this one?
Excellent device. Nice bright screen. Expandable memory and battery. Quality build. Works with lots of bluetooth kit and DLNA via WiFi.
