Every thing is perfect! but whats blackberry OS?
Unfortunately, Blackberry are always two steps behind iphone/android. I would say that the four-year old iphone 3G would give the 9860 a run for its money. Just because its newer/better than the previous BB products, doesn't make it good. The iphone doesn't need battery pulls... Android is far cheaper... What can BB offer me? Old technology for a high price on a handset that is pretty much a brick when you are travelling....
No thank you.
Joe53, 07 Aug 2011What This Device offering we do no have already in market. iPhone 4 and possibly iPhone 5 even... moreit is a Blackberry....why u talk about samsung? i am not a blackberry fan, but since this model didn't hit the market, why don't we wait to see some tests and reviews?

And what's with the iPhone 5 reference? That handset is still a rumour until Apple actually release some information abou it.
As with all phones, they are based on what the individual likes. Personally, I dislike touchscreens so I won't buy it, but there are people out there who, vice versa, dislike keypads. You can't compare a Blackberry handset with an iPhone, they are two completely seperate ideas and types of devices. Where the iPhone4 is a really good smart phone and has adapted some briliant features, it's still the same old phone we've seen for years. Apple are big on creativity but I feel they are losing their edge, and with their incredibly high prices they will lose their market position.
This is entirely my opinion though.
RIM should be change the battery to 1650 mAh or even bigger capacity , i have black berry (storm ) the problem is only Battery.
What This Device offering we do no have already in market. iPhone 4 and possibly iPhone 5 even better then Samsung Galaxy S2 with much better performance . So, What is a reason should i buy this?
I'm truly impressed for the first time with a Blackberry smartphones, aside from the battery on the new Torch 9860, I must say my opinions of RIM are changing. In my opinion Blackberry does not make impressive products and the only thing that has given them the ability to sell their phones is their outstanding services like BES & BBM, (Blackberry Enterprise Service & Blackberry Messenger respectively.
These new batch of phones of recent time may finally cause me to look at their phones especially the latest Bold & Torches and the improvements made on the Torch 9800 of what was known in the industry as the worst web browser out there.
With these new phones RIM has finally shown that they can compete with other manufacturers products rather than play the game of catch up as they have been doing, it's about time that thy step up to the plate.
Now what the hell is this, Nice design, Nice specs, but what went wrong with battery, such low capacity battery which wont even get through a day, Blackberry sucks now.....
Ohhh luck so sexy, smart, thin..but why the battery is only 1230 Mah ? why why why ??? is the biggest screen ever on BB but they cut the battery amperage...
Does this moble have wifi hotspot or not. The 9900 seems to have but not his mobile. Does not make sense at all if linked to a play book.. Are the specifications wrong.
why it doesnt have a flash and dual core cpu?!!!
hope to have this features on next modeles.
It's good to see how blackberry is working to make phones better. However the only area they are lacking behind is battery. I read the entire specification of this phone the only part where this phone is lacking behind is battery. As we all know touch screen phone with such a big screen consumes very huge amount of battery. So Blackberry team if you are reading this. Please pay attention towards this area as well so that blackberry users can enjoy the phone and services with out any hassle.
