Anonymous, 09 Feb 2015Just go to Hub management and remove the notifications. my Z10 is currently with my Sister fo... moreHi Annonymous
It is gugetpunk here. Thanx for the advice I am going to implement it. This is what I have done. When reading the forum yesterday somebody mentioned the unlinking of 'Facebook and Twitter' from the Hub. He said the unlinking of those social networks gives a lot of boost into the Z10's battery.
What I did I deleted the two applications and charged my Z10 for about 4 hours yesterday on Sunday. Before 22:H00 yesterday I removed the hanset from the charger and went to bed. In the morning when I looked at my Z10's battery status it was at 89% full. When I went to town at 05:30 it was 89% battery full. After checking it after 120 minutes or so it was at 84%. Now as I am sending you guys this statement it 11:46 am and my battery is at 77% charged. This means it is going to remain like this before sunset if I do not set it into some activity.
This is a proof that Facebook and Twitter seriously eats away the battery of the Z10. I am of the idea that if you have Facebook and Twitter installed on your Blackberry Z10 try by all means to unlink them from the hub because my goodness your batter is going to become a sponge you'll become a laughing stock to Android phone users. If you can just master the social networks setups on the Z10,this phone becomes a friend, you will never have complaints but instead fun fun fun. Blackberry Z10 is a great smartphone I have seen that. Thanx guys with super ideas keep up the good job

Drag down from the top and unlink. It really really improved battery by 5- to 60%. Also if you dont use BBM and you have signed to it, just do factory reset to logout. Believe me it is better than the phone 5 that my sister had. Now she is obsessed with it and i am using her iPhone. It's terrible infront of the Z10

Dev, 07 Feb 2015Blackberry Z10 is awesome. Definetly not best like iphones but for the price tag it rocks!
... moreHi Dev
I am the owner of the Blackberry Z10. Presently I am disapointed. The battery is as weak like ice cream in the desert. I hear you saying unlinking of FB and other social networks will see the battery becoming a bit stronger. Please explain to me how to unlink FB and other social networks to get the real service from my Blackberry Z10.

I read your tip on how to reduce the battery drainage of the Z10. You mentioned something like "...do not link the social networks (facebook, bbm, twitter etc) into the hub. Because they keep on running resulting to the drainage of the battery. Now help me how do I unlink the social networks from the hub and stop them running on background and not to charge my airtime. Please help me out
Dev, 07 Feb 2015Blackberry Z10 is awesome. Definetly not best like iphones but for the price tag it rocks! ... moreI agree with you, this BlackBerry Z10 is an awesome handset. I really confused by sooo many complaints about BlackBerry Z10. I never face a big problem with my BlackBerry Z10. Just wondering how they could faced too many problems.
this BlackBerry Z10 is best looking BlackBerry 10 device, I mean for full touchscreen handset. I'm looking for this awesome handset upgrade. but I don't really like big screen. 4-4.5 inch screen size is my best preference. quad core processor, 3GB RAM, 1080p of display, and min. 13MP main camera and 5MP of front camera. market strategy like apple to sold 2type of handset with 2 different screen size will solve the problem about screen size preferences. 4.5 inch and 5.5. inch. regards.
Surya, 03 Feb 2015I am from India when bb 10!.3 os launch to India to update for blackberry devicesFeb it's very near now os 10.3.1
I've been a Z10 user for more than a year now and been in love with it ever since! :)
I think those people who've had problems with this phone don't know how to use it. (sorry, just saying!)
I've had Android phones and have used an iPhone so I guess I'm not being biased in saying this by far is the best handheld device ever.
Of course, it has its own misgivings. If you're into games and apps, then surely, this is not the right phone for you. BlackBerry phones are business phones and you don't expect them to support game applications and the likes.
For the battery life, I would say it's 4/5. It can last me 2-3 days w/o charging PROVIDED that I'm not on 4G mode (again, I've had the phone for more than a year and yes, the battery life still is the same). I make it a habit to switch from 4G to 2G when I don't use the internet. This way, the battery lasts for as long as I need it to be. Browsing is always FAST as long as you have enough network coverage.
But what I love most about the phone is it's ability to fix itself -- by just a hard reset. (oh yeah!)
Just recently, a friend used my phone and thought that the volume keys are the lock key (this feature is most seen on Android phones and she's an Android user, so that's why). I guess she pressed it real hard that my volume up key got messed up for days until I decided to do a hard reset and viola! It's as good as new. :)
I also love how good it plays my music and how good the resolution of the phone is for my movies -- it's like watching in a cinema (for real).
I've had the BlackBerry 9360, had a really good experice with it that's why I got the Z10. I am soon getting the BlackBerry Passport because I know for sure that just like it's predecessors, it will be the bomb!
