the blackberry z10 is just amazing, give a while for the apps to come, unity's demo with the bluetooth controller looks amazing, i had a iphone 4s, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Lumia 820... but the z10 is by far the best phone experience ive ever had, +1 for Blackberry, keep up the amazing work and support
dont buy this , waste of money. Nothing special in this phone and it hangs sometimes.

Carturaru, 26 Mar 2013ok, but does it support BIS? Because I slready have a BIS data plan I would hate to change my ... moresure z10 support bis, am using my bis plan on my z10 from nigeria
Am using my BIS sim on mine and is working from Nigeria, which country are you?
I have used the BlackBerry Z10 since the beginning of the month. I bought it despite reading that people say that other smart phones like the iPhone and Samsung are better. Even the guy at the counter when I went to buy it tried to convince me that the other phones are better. I had a good experience from my previous BlackBerry relative to other phones and decided to stay with the brand.
In the bottom line I am extremely happy with my Z10. The phone is firstly a communication tool The hub that they rave about is very convenient for both my work mail other mail and all the different contact points I have with a multitude of people. I have many contacts and need quick access to my communication channels. The gestures the phone use with its touch screen too a day or two to get use to... but once mastered it is a breeze to use. One criticism is some inconsistency of how applications open and close. The interface is intuitive enough but there is an inconsistency in how different apps behave when they need to be closed.
The keyboard with its advanced predictive typing is awesome but took several days of concerted effort to master. Sometimes the flipping action select another word which slows down the typing rather than increasing the speed. I can imagine it being especially difficult for people with thick fingers. However not having to type every word is cool and its suggestions for next words is often spot on. The flick requires finger dexterity that must be mastered before the phone come to its own right. Relative to other touch pad phones I had this one is a pleasure to use.
Its phone is not its primary feature. Getting to open the phone as a utility is sometimes difficult and it is best to keep the phone app open. Setting up quick dails are easy and convenient. Facebook, BBM and Whatsapp works like a charm. Unfortunately Whatsapp jumps up as a notification in the hub and is not as neatly synchronized. It was easy to sync my work e-mail with the phone but I had a problem synchronizing my contact data and calendar.
An annoying point of the phone is the position of the power cable. Since I often type left handed the power cable point of entry is too low and restricts typing on the screen. I would have preferred the cable input to be a bit higher.
The browser is fast and convenient. The reader that strips off all the unnecessary web components to render the main body text is excellent and make it easily readable is a bonus and makes it easy to scroll through websites. Facebook works perfectly and I can manage my groups, pages and personal site with ease.
The camera works well. It took me a bit of time to get used to how it zoom using two fingers but I like it that you can point the camera on what to focus. The delay photo that allows you to chose where you want the final focus works well. My success rate taking pictures of children and animals more than tripled. The video camera works well.
Not being Amarican or British the voice control is not really giving me any benefit. It does not understand my pronunciation when I dictate and it does not have a facility to learn to know my voice.
The video is clear and the sound is clear. The speakerphone of the camera works well while I am traveling in my car. I do not need to use any additional equipment to use the phone in my car.
I have not seen any games that excite me and the Blackberry world might have million of apps but there are few that truly made me excited. I love the Kindle reader app that allows me to buy kindle e-books and read it with my Z10. The Kindle reader works well and I can read all content easily. The standard pdf reader that comes with the Z10 is pathetic. It does not give the text in a nice column view and I had to download a better app. I am not a big game player so the gaming did not really put me off the Z10. My favorite game is Age of Legends and I was disappointed that the game is not yet available on the Z10.
Overall I am happy. The Blackberry Z10 delivered what I needed and made my smart phone experience much better and improved my productivity as a business man. I will buy the Blackberry Z10 again if I am given the choice.
AnonD-2355, 28 Mar 2013I'm quite confuse of choosing which phone to purchase. Choices are Z10, Lumia and iPhone 5)
I... moresince you already own an iphone 4s, i really think that upgrading from a 4s to a 5 will be a waste of money, so skip iphone 5.
if you wanna go for a windows phone you should go for the lumia 920. its a really good device but its a new OS and not many apps are available for download (not that there are millions of apps for the z10 but still, the apps on windows store are far behind IOS and android).
so my advice would be to go for a z10 but be careful. it might not turn out to be the way you expected it to be.
i had bad experiences with this phone and immediately sold it back, but who knows , my particular unit might have had some issues..
its worth giving a shot.
BB10 OS is good. it focuses around swipe gestures without the hastles of hardware keys.
now its up to your personal preference my friend
no bullshit whatsoever and an unbiased opinion. ;-)
I used the Z10 for 3 days before I gave up and reconciled with my Iphone 5. I loved the Blackberry phones with the physical keyboards and was overeager in my anticipation of this phone. It was not at all user friendly and at the time that I had it (March 11-14 2013) I could not install Whatsapp, I had a minimal BB contact list, most of my friend have left BB and I was lost without Whatsapp. My 11 year old tried it for a few days and also gave up and went back to her S3. I ended up selling it for USD 230.
The best phone EVER
I bought it for only 560euros a month ago and I'm very very very happy with it :)
Fast, easy to use and such a beautifull design
thnx again RIM
AnonD-110611, 22 Mar 2013People that like to text a lot? WRONG! It is an emailer/business phone... it is only since the... moreit might be a good business phone , but are we teenagers supposed to hold business meetings and send long, boring, formal emails?? lol :P
this phone is real crap.
it beats the sgs 4 in design though, but still, it doesnt belong in my hands....
still if other's wanna give BB10 Os a shot they can wait for the Q10.... it features a physical keyboard which i miss a lot :D
Tony, 28 Mar 2013For those of you who still did not buy the Z10, my advice is not to buy it. I have bought i... moredude its up to you on what do you want from your device if you want amazing apps and no lags pick up your appl products. if you want more customization use android. but if your tired of both pick this blackberry i think its amazing coz of all the gestures for shortcuts. its like this phone is for people on the go. chek messages fast, browse the net fast with no lags. take it from me i have iphone, sony android phone, and planning to buy this one. KNOW WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE BUYING ANY GADGETS!!!
with all the comments on the z10. looking at the appraisal and the bullshit comment on the fone. how sure am i that when ui get the fone its not goona develop the same proble m as the previous users.
For those of you who still did not buy the Z10, my advice is not to buy it.
I have bought it for more than $700 USD when it first came out, and could not sell it for more than $250 after two weeks. I could not really even give it away.
When compared to iPhone or Galaxy, I don’t think you should think twice about NOT getting the Z10. It has nothing to offer what so ever over the other phones. On the contrary, the other phones have hundreds of features and apps not available on the Z10.
Buying it just for the sake of being loyal to Blackberry like I did (I see no other reason why anyone would buy it) is a big mistake in my opinion.
I'm quite confuse of choosing which phone to purchase. Choices are Z10, Lumia and iPhone 5)
I know that not everyone posting here really had Z10 or actually used the Z10. (not all post are facts)
I'm using an iPhone 4S and the BlackBerry 9790.
My issues with the BlackBerry 9790:
- Overheats and if I will not remove the battery, it will drain the power in just 20 mins. (Even with the latest firmware)
- It hangs at some point everyday.
I'm pleading to Z10 Users... is the phone really worth getting?
No-bullshit and biased post please.
Thanks,
Louie
Feels great to touch. Just for the app world to be updated swiftly so customers do not get tired of waiting.
Not sure I like the updated bbm on it, I am unable to clear update history from contacts.
Iphone will always be superior to Z10 - I have an iphone 4s as well and they are not comparable.
I have been a blackberry user for years. My primary use is for email and I think the hub is a step backward in a couple of important respects. First, my Torch home screen currently has an icon for each of my four email accounts. The little stars let me tell at a glance which email account has new emails. Secondly, each of these accounts can be set to have the blinking light on or off. I only use it for the one email account that is most important. The z10 cannot be configured in this manner. I hope further software releases will restore these capabilities.
blackberry zzz10 rocksss
AnonD-110611, 27 Mar 2013Skype will be available in Canada when the app has been ready for the app store. Currently you... morei did sideload instagram , skype and google maps,no working , im really disapointed of this phone.
