In the past i did not like blackberry at all but now and with this version i liked
Maybe it's good, but tat screen size/large bezel and specs just scream mid end.
This will get RIM 3rd platform status by end of year.
Will be best BYOD device, period.
Best browser, best keyboard including virtual keyboard.
No need for quad-core if OS and apps don't require it.
Best social integration, period.
No stupid home button, that's so 2007!
Removable battery, HDMI out, standard USB connector and of cause, hot swappable memory card.
Who needs a million apps, when you only use 30!!!!? Which they will have 95% of.
Don't hate, appreciate!
Why can't Apple and Samsung give free internet browsing. That way no one will give Blackberry a second look. BIS and BBM are the lifejackets for RIM.
Anonymous, 19 Jan 2013lmfao $10 u really think a $10 increase is a good thing apples shares are roughly $500 haha pu... moreI'm the the anon you're replying to. From $6 to $16, RIMM's stock is up 166%. From $700 to $500, AAPL is down almost 30%. All since last September. I'm no fan boy of this or that brand. FYI, right now I'm bullish on both AAPL and RIMM. I'm still holding my RIMM Jun'13 15.0 call options though it's already up 200%, and I just iniated my position in Apple by buying April'13 600 call when the stock was at $486 few days ago.
I was able to use a dev kit as I am sales person in one of the UK retail shops, and to be honest it make me very impresed. Maybe it is dual core but it works very smood. Software is running very smood and I am thinking personaly to get one for my self. I am not saying that other phones are bad, but this one it's a realy good pcs of kit.
looks unremarkable in every way. OS10 adds nothign of practical use. Love the 9800 Torch and am staying with it.

I work for a telephone company and personally had the chance to meet with RIM and play around with this phone. In terms of the software itself. Its incredibly smooth. After all there is 2 GB of RAM. I don't think this phone will do bad. My only concern with the phone is the quality. The casing seems a little cheap. There is still a very large number of users still using blackberry's and RIM is offering some very enticing incentives for developers to develop apps on their platform. My suggestion is to keep an open mind, I cant see someone playing around with this phone and then calling it trash. Lastly remember people RIM was able to stay alive because of their ability to deliver on security so well. Using RIM means being safe in an environment where the number of viruses circulating is growing exponentially.
Size is big for 4.2" screen as compaired to Samsung galaxy s2, fond touch does not seem as gud super amoled, let us hope for the best.
Zao you are evil, and you said the word "beezlebub" thus you somehow have working with him!
You shall be punished for committing acts of gluttony android phones!!
so let me get this straight...people complain about the specs of this phone and suddenly windows phone 8 specs are better really??? I'm not saying that specs of the phone are great or even current...but it's not terrible...
looks like a dev. platform with this gargantual bezel. Not enough to save rim
Almost everyone hating on the phone already when no one that have posted negative comments have ever used the phone. I think specs wise its a good phone I just hope the software will be good. When I compare this phone to the samsung galaxy s3 thats on AT&T the specs are the same less the features on the s3 u hadly used and I'm using the note 2. Just give the phone a chance.
