It sounds like the battery of Blackberry Z3 functions same way with the dinky reliable blackberry 9320. For the first month or so the batteries of these devices appear to be utilizing a lot of energy and the battery quickly drainz off.
The thing is not that the battery is weak or the device is consuming a lot energy,but the phone and the battery are adapting and customizing themselves with the operations of the handset and the network. After some time your phone is going to operate at optimum peak levels. Do not loose heart have patience this shall come to an end

pavan, 19 Aug 2014I purchased my BB Z3 one month ago. It's a nice phone for pure Business class and not for mult... moreCheck CPU for PIM service in Device monitor, if it is above 30% all the time, then remove all the accounts like emails, facebook, evernote,BBM etc.
and reset you mobile and configured them back slowly.
this should resolve the issue..

I purchased my BB Z3 one month ago. It's a nice phone for pure Business class and not for multi-media. One problem i am facing is, it is getting heated up suddenly and the battery drains fast. When i switch off the unit completely and switch it on after 5 mins, it is working fine for 2 or 3 days and again the same problem repeats.
Anyone facing this issue and any suggestions for this?

i bought this mobile almost a month back, i just want to try a BB phone though the specifications are not that good for 16,000 Rs in India. It got stuck almost 4 to 5 times in one month itself.. when i am getting a call, it is getting stuck and i am not able to attend the call.. i need to force restart the phone always... this is really very very bad in any smart phone... If the third party applications are getting stuck means ok, but the problem with inbuilt basic functionality itself.. i really hate this problem...
