AnonD-264145, 16 May 2014Hey can anyone tell me how android apps run on this? For example, whatsapp and LINE. Whatsapp is available from BB World for free so no need to use the android version.
LINE for Android works on my Z10, but does not run as a background service, which is one of the big advantages with the BB10 OS, no matter how many bloated android apps you install the system will not slow down like it does on real android (which is why BB10 has the advantages of Android without having any of Androids disadvantages) but in the case of LINE it would probably be desirable that it did run as a background process to immediately receive messages even if the LINE app is closed. Its ok with me however, the messages arrive whenever i open LINE.

Just own it yesterday. Overal i can tell that it's a very good device with astonishing specs and sold at a reasonable price. Glad i purchased it at its launching in Jakarta yesterday.

It says in the specs that it has hdmi port but when I saw the initial video of blackberry z3, it has none. Hdmi port is also not listed in it's specs in blackberry Indonesia. So the one listed above should be corrected.

Specifications are just right for the price point and the target market. I am hoping Blackberry soon releases this in the Philippines. I will buy at least two - one for my mother and the other for my mother in law.
I am rocking both Z30 and Q10. My wife has the Z10. I will migrate all my family (brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, etc.) to BB. Count on it! :)
For those thinking it, go buy the Z3. You will not regret it.

Are you gonna using a phone (wonly) or stick the specification on your forehead and show the public (wonly)? What of the old chipset if the phone works for the user (wonly)?. For less than 10$ (wonly) you can get a decent 16 GB SDcard. Is it not enough for an average user ( the target of this phone).

if this is the case, BB should price this device at sub$100 to generate BIG sales. otherwise, android still wins at this category.
