I'd like to give a review of this phone as well. I purchased this phone (Blu G5) for $55 brand new on Amazon. This phone is the exact same phone as the blu studio mini. I have no clue why they have different names. But anyway, the battery life is good, not great but good. The camera quality both front and rear seem to be good, (13 mp rear 8mp front) it also has flash both front and rear. And surprisingly at this price point, this phone has facial recognition. No wifi calling. The phone makes calls over the 4G network with an enhanced lte mode option. The phones speakers are average at best. The phone runs a pretty stock version of Android 9 with hardly any bloatware. Yes, you can download and install apps and games straight to your sd card once you've opened developer options and selected the appropriate option. (Believe it or not, some smartphones and tablets will not allow you to save apps and games to the sd card no matter what you do) The phone has an 8 core processor, 2GB of ram, and 32GB of internal storage. Sadly, no 5ghz wifi, only 2.4 GHz wifi. Also, the phone does have usb otg support. It was able to read my usb thumb drive with no problem. This phone is not a multimedia powerhouse, but for the price of it, I'd rate it a 4 out of 5 stars.
johnk73, 23 Feb 2021Couldn't unlock the bootloader. "fastboot oem unlock" gives "unknown cmd.... moreYou still need to get it unlocked?
my internet speed is too too slow i cannot beleive
is this phone wifi calling capable?
Couldn't unlock the bootloader. "fastboot oem unlock" gives "unknown cmd." "fastboot flashing unlock" gives "Not implemented".
I need TWRP to back up my phone including /data/media (application storage, including SMS history). I only do it every few months but better than losing everything.
The Thinker , 23 Sep 2020Agreed. Been actively looking on and off for a couple months now. It lags apps, the camera is not good at all. Battery life is poor and it heats up real quick. I can't believe i bought this for $150.
Nice phone , cheap but It has an octacore procesassor and it comes with 32 gbs , for 90 bucks i think It is good , BLU good one
Does not support 4G

I love the phone, the octacore processor means no lag or crashing apps and good multitasking capabilities. The thing that bothers me is I have searched high and low in every store that I can find and all over the internet and I cannot find one single case to put on my phone! No store has any case for it!
Phone volume on this phone is absolutely terrible! And searched everything everywhere to find a fix, even taking my phone into the store, and no fix. Phone volume is somehow tied to ring volume, so you to hear people talk to you on phone (or speaker phone) your ring volume needs to be on full blast! Not good at all!!
The battery is not removable
Nice phone but it does not support Screen cast (Miracast). Tech Support at BLU has confirmed this fact.
so far so good
