t3h_dude, 02 Oct 2013You need to buy a CTIA to OMTP headphone jack converter. So the problem is that this phone uses the CTIA standard (like the iPhone)? Have you confirmed that third-party headphones work correctly with the adapter?
Has anyone used the BLU Life Play with the Square credit card reader? Does the Square card reader work correctly with this phone? Read that there's an issue with third-party headphones, and since the card reader plugs into the headphone jack, I'm concerned it may not work right or at all.
Beautiful phone. Clear high res screen, good music player, elements have been added that I used to have to add myself such as power saving, sound recorder, alarm. Battery lasts about 4 days if you just have it on standby. Quick response core. Camera is quite good for a phone, bit grainy secondary camera. I showed two friends my phone and because of the good price they both bought one each. I really like it.
So, for all those who are having a really bad day with the sound quality on headsets besides what comes with the phone, I have found a way that can really resolve the problem by let's say 90%. It is actually not the phone itself, but the music player which the phone comes with (or I could be wrong) When I use my headphones on a video it sounds normal. So, for the music lovers like myself, go to the data on the music player, raise the bass boost to max out, while lower the 3D effect and the focus down to absolute zero. Lastly for a litle more kink, raise the space reverberation to about 70%. Problem solved. Enjoy your music with atleast acceptable sound quality. Note that I never said it is completely resolved.

would the l100i version of this phone work in Africa, specifically Nigeria?
Hey guys have anyone used a headphone or headset other than what is included and works pretty well? I want to get a Skull Candy but I know that HQ headsets works terrible on the phone and trust me because I've tried it on mines. Still love the best phone for its price though! :P it's been a month now and performance is still crisp clean.
