Can I upgrade my blu studio 5.5s to kitkat

My phone screen keeps freezing in certain spots. I can't put in my password because my phone is frozen where the key I need to use is. This isn't the first time it has done this either. It has happened many times before this and this phone continues to be a hassle for me and my sister. I DO NOT recommend this phone for anyone who would like to purchase it. It breaks within the first couple months of having it and is not worth it.

this phone , I real disappointed in it because the day I remember using it , it was so good the first couple months I had it after I purchased it. but here is what made me feel bad about it ; the phone hade full charge and couple minutes I am using it , it started to be very hot and turned off by itself and never be on again . I've tried to put it down for sometime try to let it cooling down thinking that is going to be ok so I can turn it on but it never be turned on. till now is been couple months still down . I also tied to change new battery but nothing happened ,also tried to get new charge but still the same. it died just like that.
