My phone recently start acting up, its freezing and controlling it self, I have to power off every 20 mins sometimes. Its frustrating! Anybody having this issue?
Tips on prolonging battery life.
1. Lower down the brightness of the phone. The higher the brightness the more power in consumes.
2. Set the auto lock to 15 seconds. If your not using the phone, it's not ideal if the phone is still on for 1 minute. It will eat up the power of the battery.
3. Force stop apps that you are not using anymore. Like for example games. Even though, you've closed the game. It is still running. Go to app manager to make sure that the app is not running. If it is still running Force stop it. Cause if it is still running the processor is still working. And if the work load of the processor is heavy it consumes more power or energy.
Hope this helps.

I have a question for you, I also bought a studio 5.5s and have a memory card for it. Im having a problem, when I try to downlown any app, I tells me that it doesn't have insufficient space. Is there something that I should do or change?
Bought this phone two months ago for use on tmobile and have had absolutely no issues at all. In fact everyone who sees me ask if its a samsung and i say yes and nobody has noticed it is not. I bought a 32 sd card and currently have dowloaded at least 25 apps/games and i have used about 5gb on the sd card. I still have plenty of space on my internal storage. I have dowloaded high graphic games to test the system and everything runs smooth. Asphalt 8 was a game a previos comment mention would notplay but that was incorrect. Great phone great price, i bought the 2 year replacement warranty for 30 @ walmart. Very happy with the phone.
dont ever but this phone its ok at the beginning but after a month it starts to act like crap ,so slow, the touch screen has gone really bad ,works %45 of the time i just wasted my money , its better to save money and spend on any other brand name phone ,
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2014can anybody tell me why i turned my blu 5.5 off meaning power now it wont turn back onprobably cause you ran out of battery
My keypad will not pop up when i try to use it on kik messenger. any buttons close the the space bar (including the space bar) will not work when i try to send messages. i need helppp !!
Anyone have issue with the 5.5s battery being sucked dry by "idle" and "standby"--mine are at 50% each and the phone is basically not able to be used. I have fought and fought with BLU and they have finally relented and had me mail it back to check and see what is wrong with it. I will not be surprised at all if I receive the phone back and they tell me everything is normal. NOTE of warning to other BLU phone buyers/owners--customer service told me that if you get a scratch on the phone (they didn't specify where) your warranty is VOIDED. Who buys a phone from a company like that. They are a horrible company to deal with. If I had known what the company was like I would never have spent my hard earned money on one of their phones.
The BLU Studio 5.5 S (as is true for most if not all BLU phones) is GSM - as opposed to CDMA (like Verizon and Sprint). If Boost Mobile is CDMA, then no, you cannot use this phone with that service. You need to use a GSM provider like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.
I jst got a blu studio 5.5s and i was wondering if you can use it for a boost mobile pre paid plane cause noone herd of it when they try find it
