HTC Android Touch UI Rumors

A brand new HTC droid was uncovered through an otherwise uninteresting photo sample. The EXIF info on the shot names the device HTC Golf and gives some specs to go along with the name.

The specs read like a lower-end version of the HTC One V - a 3.5" HVGA screen, 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 3MP camera, HSDPA connectivity and 4GB of built-in storage (with a microSD card to expand that storage).

The HTC Golf will reportedly launch with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it will be available in a variety of colors.

Here's the photo in question:

The photo in the source article has its EXIF data stripped, so we couldn’t verify these claims. Also, the specs listed include stuff not usually present in EXIF data, so we guess there was an anonymous source to add the extra info.

The HTC Golf will reportedly come out from under the covers some time in late Q2.

The problem that HTC has running ICS on their phones is of their own making and has little to do with the specs of their phones. HTC Sense is so thickly integrated with the OS that they can't just slap a different OS on beneath it without doing a ma...

The article is NOT useless, actually is very interesting, if it is true. WHY? because if it's true, it's clear that ICS can run in an acceptable manner ad least, without bugs, on a low (from now) hardware HTC Droid. Beside the fact that HTC has...
