Huawei Google Android

The Huawei-made Google Nexus 6P will start getting the January security update in a couple of weeks from now, or at least in Australia. The update will start hitting units on Vodafone Australia January 4 onwards.

The carrier revealed that the update - which weighs in at around 39MB - will carry the build number of N4F26I, and will bump the Android security patch level to January 5.

As for the roll out, it will be a 15 day process, where days 1-3 will see around 10,000 units getting the update, followed by 10% of the remaining pool each day for the next 10 days. Finally, all the remaining devices will be eligible for the update day 14 onwards.

Why so much fuss about "security updates" GSMA? Theres nothing tangible or easily noticeable about these updates anyway. Moreover, they have become more commom these days.
