I really, really wanted to like this phone, but I don't.
I purchased this to replace my Samsung S7 Active due to it’s ratings and specifications. I need a rugged, durable phone.
Some of the issues are with the OS, which is not the phone's fault, but here is the list of the issues I have with it:
Poor reception. This is a phone, first and foremost and it's not doing it. In places where my old Samsung had one or two bars of reception, this thing doesn't have signal. Even at home, with a cell booster that always worked with all my other phones, this one loses signal frequently. When talking on the phone and the reception is low or poor, the calls become very digital sounding and just cut out randomly.
The network operates on 2G, 3G and LTE, no 4G or anything else. And as far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to switch back and forth between them well. Even my 4 years old Samsung had 4G, seriously, 4 years old and it’s better than this one! I live and work in rural areas. This phone is supposed to be rugged and work out in the field …well it doesn’t.
No headphone jack! Seriously? This is supposed to be a work phone and many times on job sites I still need a headset. You have to buy a USB to headphone jack adaptor for that, one more thing to stick out of the phone and you can't charge it at the same time. Whatever, I can get over this if the phone would actually have reception.
The camera's HDR feature performs poorly in low lighting, also it's 12MP??? Seriously, in 2023 you could even break 20MP?
My biggest annoyance with it is the OS though. Its google heavy Android is annoying as hell. At least Samsung would give you the option to turn off features and updates. Google is all controlling. You're getting updates even if you don't want them.
Oh and the pointless Google assistant at the top of the home screen can be disabled, but it NEVER goes away! It just sits there mocking you and telling you it's disabled and you should turn it back on. Screw you Google Assistant!
Everything tries to sync to Google and back-up, update, and notify you. Took hours to go through everything and turn as much off as I could.
Another annoyance is the notifications, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I won't get a new Outlook email notification for hours at times, same even with Gmail.
The last annoyance is the sleep screen. Samsung figured this out, when sleeping, show a clock, because it barely uses battery and it's useful. This phone doesn't do that, only will do it if it's in charge or a cradle?? Regardless, when you select both, still doesn't show normally.
Since I've spent a fair bit of money on this thing I'm stuck with it, but I don't like it and the cell reception is one of the biggest issues since I live and work in rural and remote places.
For a work phone, huge screw up CAT!

Thus far I have used the phone in any possible way in very harsh conditions for over a year and only disappointment is giving up a "hobby" of constantly upgrading to a better phone. It looks like this was the final word of tech. I also run heavy duty programs and 4xgold 4xsilver Qualcomm snapdragon 660 has never showed a sign of slowing down when installing a update impressive slow motion was added and FLlR Lepton 3.5 is 320x200 is the best thermal module that a phone can have.

OwerMan, 15 May 2023You do know that Android itself is a Google product? Not all android is Google. Android is Linux amd is open source. It doesn't belong to Google. Google just writes for it. They are Android versions with no playstore or Google whatsoever.

I got one of the first phones that was made and its still running strong. Dropped it from very high, like it never happened. Battery life 92%, drops around 4,2% per year. Reccommended to a friend, 2023. Has 3 times warranty replacement, has connectivity issues, garbled sound when off-road. New models components are bad. Get an used old model for reliability.

Hi. Only one comment to this lovely phone. OK, two, 4000 mAh is less than 5000 mAh and echausted by the end of day. My S41 screen failed. Stripes. So now S62 Pro. Reason I write, comparision tells S41 uses LCD technology but S62 uses TFT technology.

On my 4th cat s 62 replacement warranty .. shits off randomly,
Charging issues , major dropped calls missing calls and texts regularly .. won't issue refund. Just keep sendin replacement device all same and more issue. 3 month s and I'm on 4th try phone' i assume that i will get replacement until warranty is expired buyers beware trash ...

Epic monument to failure. This phone froze up on day one. I was told this phone had thermal imaging. It doesn't. No one came hear you on speaker phone. It drops calls. The battery dies even when I have nothing running. It's entirely too slow. I was told I can return the phone to T-Mobile within 15 days of not satisfied. They neglected to tell me about the $72 restock fee. Can't wait to switch carriers, ditch the bill for this phone, and enjoy destroying it.

Slow data transfer about 7mb per second via USB c, haha. Got to take it out if you want 80mb per second!

I'm in construction and I'm careless I broke many phones. This phone works well for a rugged phone I wanted. Ok am also Fisherman and phone works well in my camp and water 💦 environment
