Samsung Android

Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on March 29. Until then we'll be discovering bits about the awaited devices day after day.

This latest leak contains some sleek renders from OnLeaks and GearIndia.

For now we know that Samsung will keep its glass-aluminum design with both devices. The Galaxy S8 will have 5.7” display while the bigger device is going for 6.2”. The overall size of the device won’t be significantly bigger since Samsung is dropping the Home Key and minimizing bezels all around. Now the fingerprint scanner is on the back, next to the camera setup.

Display will still be SuperAMOLED, as Samsung announced earlier. Both devices are rumored to have iris scanner at the front, a feature we already saw in Galaxy Note 7 last year. The volume keys are still in their places, but the power button has been moved below them to make way for the Bixby AI assistant button. The USB-C and the 3.5 mm audio jack are on the bottom side of the phone.

Give the designer an extra cup of coffee and one more try to replace the fingerprint scanner. But from the inventor of the pocket-heater it will still be a good idea if you want a stamp of grease from your finger in every photo. The sound of the...
