hi guy.. i am new on android os...beside tat i oso not familiar on the dell streak as well...how long did u guy using ur streak? coz i considering to get a long term phone (2year)...does it streak will easily spoil or lot of problem?? thx!

Don't know how long this has been available, but after recieving my Streak today, it notified me of the 2.2.2 update.
This is diferent to the previous 2.2 update and it really fleshes out the Dell widgets.
They get some really nice animations now.
There was a problem with using the Facebook Dell widget which 2.2.2 sorted out.

Been using the Streak 5 for last 2 weeks. Its a wonderful device. Got the new device which comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) pre-installed. It's indeed the biggest smartphone and the smallest Tablet around :) and I like it for what it is. Suites well for all my requirements
- screen is big enough to read documents/email
- Great for gaming, love the Angry Birds on this big screen :)
- Big, but still handy to be used as a mobile phone.
- Includes Swype keyboard, makes typing just Swyping... :)
- Touch response is awesome
Assume the specification/review here should be updated as there seems to be changes in the device. The specification shows 512MB each for RAM and ROM. My device shows internal storage available space 1.6 GB, so I assume the total internal storage is 2GB.
The Froyo version has a Dell Stage Widget, which is very handy.

The Dell Streak 5 is very good to use as a mini pad. Don't expect it to have the power - Apple Ipad, Samsung Tab or even the HTC Flyer (which by the way is excellent if you want to use it as a notepad to write on) The Streak unfortunately doesn't come with that option. So if you are planning on getting a phone to take notes with a stylus, forget about the Streak.
The screen is ok, not as sharp but still good enough and the operation of it's icons is quite easy to use. As a mobile phone, the size does make it a little awkward to use but you will eventually get into the habit of holding it right. You can use a head set instead.
This phone is not for everybody and may take a bit longer than usual to get accustomed to the phone but I am happy with it as a small tablet and a mobile.
List what you want in a phone first then look at the specifications and compare.
