i brought this cell on 30th jan and on 1st day this cell got dead n than didnt got start nw have send it for D.U lets see wat happens cnt even see the menu of the cell
I've been using mine for already a month so I can say a few things about it:
Pros: good performance, huge screen(gr8 4 eBooks, video, youtube, photos etc.), looks nice without the huge Otterbox case which I got for it, good call sound but a bit weak, great OS functionality with Froyo 2.2.
Cons: inferior sound quality - flat sound and not loud enough by any means, fragile(mine fell once and I see green color underneath the Gorilla Glass in the corner), no mini USB, camera quality is inferior even to Galaxy S not to mention iPhone 4.
I bought this marvel tab phone after researching the whole net world, as I was going to buy the most expensive mobile of my life. Lastly, i decided to go for it. Today I donot regret of paying my hard earned money on this marvel. This is the best to go for it without a double thought. Both cameras beat any other mobile cameras even if they are 12 mpxl. I strongly recommend for it.
If you want the BEST robust and shock resistant along with water proof Android ability buy the motorola Defy MB-525. It is classified as IP67!
If you want the best and huge screen then buy Samsung Tab P1000.
Who the hell is DELL to build mobile phones?
Dell should manage its Computer division and forget about mobiles......
London Uder, 31 Jan 2011It is a beautiful device, ideal for internet and e-reading. The camera and video are excellent... morethanks.. that was very useful... Any more suggestions are most welcome.. I have just a few hours left before i buy it.. Pls help me..
It is a beautiful device, ideal for internet and e-reading. The camera and video are excellent. The email functionality for exchange and pop3 accounts is good, although the spam filter does not work well.It is despite of its size very convenient for phone calls and actually it is very easy to browse through contacts etc. The main fault of this pretty device is that it is very fragile, it cannot even be compared in terms of durability with an iphone etc. If you drop it it breaks in 3 pieces, the camera lense can get scratched, also mine developed a fault with occasionally being unable to charge the battery.
If you buy it you should always protect it in a case and not squeeze it in trouser pockets or handbags etc. It will give you pleasure and the best functionality for internet, email, facebook, e-reading, all internet applications, videos etc, however treat it with the caution you would have for your laptop.
I am very confused whether I should buy the Dell Streak or not.. I love this device because of the screen size, good battery life, gorilla glass display, but, i can't ignore the negative like NO micro usb connector, NO LED notification light, faulty camera button and poor speaker performance. People, please help me decide. Thanks in advance.
Guys, the Gorilla glass is flexible, but the touch screen underneath is not flexible. So when you use the device, bear that in mind. While removing the back cover take extreme care not to insert too much pressure on the device. The device is thin and so flexible! and this feature can break the touch screen not the glass cover!
saidur464, 28 Jan 2011Its a big shame for dell that such a expensive phone has no adobe flash player.... they should... moreBuddy... Dell Streak has Adobe flash player support... repeat has Flash player support.
jeet, 29 Jan 2011does dell streak 16gb android 2.2 supports TV - OUT ?Yea you need to buy the optional hdmi out adapter.
Dear all, if you haven't bought a Streak yet then don't. Please read on. Unfortunately, as I recently found out, there is a design flaw, which causes the LCD to shatter, even without being dropped. The gorilla glass remaining fine. However, Dell have written this fault out of their warranty coverage and don't let you know this until you've bought one. I am now trying my best to get mine replaced or my money back - it is less than 2 months old. I actually really liked the product and it was ideal for my needs. So, until they've either a) fixed the design flaw, or b) admit liability and extend the coverage of the warranty, my advice is to go elsewhere...
