It does works with any network. try making the correct internet settings from Vodafone. I to have a dell streak and its working great.

Guys, I bought this phone a week back (after using iphone for almost a year. The first one i had to return the next day because it has a bulging at the camera button area. The plastic bulged out (just wondering how can plastic casing bulge out?). I returned the product and they replaced it with a new one. I seriously doubt the built quality of the product. I have dropped my apple more than 6 times and nothing.. yea.. nothing happened to it.
Second, it has serious issues connecting to wifi. Connection takes almost 1 -2 mins from sleep. Sometimes it wont connect at all. Says the default wifi connection is disabled. I have to go manually into the settings and click connect. Those who use Iphone know how fast it connects to wifi networks!
Third, No push notifications. Notifications appear in the notification bar on the top. If your device is sleeping, you wont get it. On the contrary in iphone, you all know you get push notifications no matter whether the device is sleeping or awake.
Fourth, Some websites wont open. It says too many server redirects and shows a connection error message. over the last one year, i have never exp any website opening issue with iphone.
Fifth, Flash is just a gimmick. It displays the content. But when it come to audio video transmission (like the flash based dialers for VOIP in websites) it wont work.
Sixth,I couldnt find any offline storing of contacts - you need a google account to create a contact. Once created, it can be accessed offline also.
Seventh, Many of the top applications in Android market are not thoroughly tested by google. Because, few applications i downloaded (eg, ebuddy) crashed and wont even open. on the contrary u seldom find applications crashing in an iphone (unless u have flashed it).
Eight. For those who are looking for iphone like games in Android... there are no games even to match the high end games in iphone. What you get is some cheap kiddie games. No EA underground, No Battlefield nothing...
Nine. No native video calling option. It has front and back camera.. but just for fun and taking own pics..Skype wont video call and only option is yahoo. Which wont work in this part of the world.
Ten. The smooth scrolling you exp in iphone - FORGET that in Streak. The scrolling is not smooth.
Few positive sides are, one the large screen. After using this for soemtime and then use youe iphone, you feel iphone screen is very small.
Two. You can install applications offline. From website or from downloaded contents.
Three. Moving background. Which is truly amazing.

dhd, 23 Jan 2011try selling your dell 5inch paperwait.People always complaining,it might be too big as a phone and too small as a tablet but I am sure there were people who wanted to have something like this.
We'll never be 100% happy with what we have,that's for sure.

1--does vodaphone provider works on dell cos i cant access my emails or google account thought i have unlimited internet with my plan.
2--how do i download games on dell
3- how do i download antivirus on dell as vodaphone internet dosent work on my phone .
