it is getting the update on o2 today or tomorrow, to 2.2, got mine on order, played with the 1.6 and great, so will be better

HD2Owner, 28 Jul 2010only 512 MB ROM and 512 MB RAM ?? Wake up DELL which world are you in ? AT&T introduced 1 ... moreHD2 does not have a 1GB ROM ( not according to the specs here on this site).... You are also forgetting.... That's all you have. and you have to install apps onto that or your external SD.
Streak has 16GB internal to install apps too. PLUS 512RAM 512ROM. Then add the SD slot with a 32GB capacity. Couple this all to our 2.1 and 2.2 Android updates.... and WE can then use those cards for apps too... Then what.... Where is that HD2 of your now?
Now here is where I really burn you. Dell does not manufacture anything. The have some assembly facilities for PC's but most items are all outsourced and built from parts shipped in or assembled items they slap together, but nothing dedicated to devices such as this Streak. When Dell released their Axim PDA line, their latest, The Axim x51v offering is still considered the best PDA available today. It was designed and built by HTC to Dell specs. So tell me... who do you think Dell contracted to create the Mini 5 and the New Aero.... Need a hint smart guy?
Even if you were correct about the 1GB. The Streak blows your HD2 away. I own all 3 devices mentioned in my posts
