Verizon is seeding an update to its DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX smartphones. The new release offers quite a lot of improvements, new features and bugfixes, but sadly isn't the Ice Cream Sandwich update everyone is waiting for.
The update will get you up to software version 6.12.181 and it is already being pushed to said devices - if you don't want to wait you might check out the Software update entry in the settings menu to update manually.
The key ares that were improved include text message delivery, 4G data connectivity indicator, enhanced device security against unauthorized access, enhance battery life and overall stability. A new MotoCast widget and IPv6 support were also added. Check out the full changelog of the update for the DROID RAZR (PDF) and DROID RAZR MAXX (PDF)
Verizon promised ICS for both RAZRs, but sadly we still don't know when exactly that is coming.
Getting check update unavailable at this this can anyone help rebooted turn it off and on and still the same helppppppp
Are you legitimately surprised about Moto dragging on an update? BWAHAHAHHAHAHA! that is there thing!
