not the first phone or even the first gsm by a long way but still great for the time, ive been looking for one for ages to add to my collection
this site should list the pre-gsm phones aswell (but i guess it wouldnt be called gsmarena then lol)

Can people stop bagging this phone and similar phones.
At the time this would have been a great phone, and if it wasn't for phones like this, we wouldn't have the phones we have today.

i compared dis marvel to da HTC TYTN II
Results:
1) Camera is incredible!! TYTN's measly 3MP AF camera is nothing compared GH 218's 9.5 MP FF (fine focus)with auto Macro and manual ISO.
2)In the line of user friendliness the huge, Fred Flinstone sized keys work MUCH better that any touch screen!! also no need to use your brain, just press!!
I could do a full review but I'll leave that to the real guys.
Overall, according to those inspections alone, the massive TYTN II pales (u could become impaled on the GH 218's antenna though) in comparison to the legendary GH 218.

awesome phone!! they shouldn't have 'discontinued', it's a real awesome phone.
i mean when it soppd workin 5 years ago, i still play catch with it.
even then, when me landline phone spaeker went bad, what better replacement to use that this Mega Bass speaker?
one time i had to cut my pants pocket because the antenna bored a hole in it and couldn't come out

Except the tremendous characteristics,it supports satellite and 3G!!!!Wow, I never expect to have a 25Mp camera phone in my home...And another two secret points, u can use it as a handbrake!!! Yes...U put it under your wheels!!!!OR, u can build your house with a brick like that!!!!!Take it without second thought,is recommended by everyone...
