Fossil has unveiled its next-generation Hybrid smartwatch for those who prefer a more classic look with some of the smart features of modern smartwatches. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid takes design elements from its other Gen 6 smartwatches and packs more tech into the hardware.
There are two designs: Machine and Stella. The former has a 45mm case size with textured bezel and comes in Black, Smoke, and Silver finishes. The Stella is a smaller 40.5mm case with more feminine colorways including Rose Gold, Silver, and Two-Tone. Both watches have interchangeable bands (18mm and 24mm, respectively) of different materials including three-link metallics and classic leather or silicone bands.
In addition to the two-week battery life and physical time-telling hands, there’s also support for sleep and step tracking, notifications, customzable watch faces, continuous heart rate and workout monitoring, and the Gen 6 Hybrid now has SpO2 tracking. Also new is a built-in microphone with support for Amazon Alexa.
Plus, Fossil released a redesigned smartwatch companion app for both Android and iOS with improved personalization options and a more comprehensive fitness data dashboard. The new app will also work with older Fossil Hybrid smartwatches so owners can begin taking advantage of the app’s new UI.
The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid will be available June 27 from Fossil.com or Fossil retail stores for $229 or $249 if you opt for a model with metallic band.
I like hybrid watches. garmin vivomove style was good but overpriced with upto 1 week battery life.fossil's offering maybe a good alternative if this one has touch screen and siri/google assistant support in the future. alexa is useless outside ...
I'm seriously stick to old digital watches, that guy needs to attention and restrained
