Fossil launched the Gen 6 smartwatch last August with the Snapdragon 4100+ SoC and Wear OS, which is now joined by the Wellness Edition.
The Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition is also powered by the Snapdragon 4100+, but it runs Wear OS 3, making it the first Fossil smartwatch to run Google's latest smartwatch OS. That means the Wellness Edition has support for apps like YouTube Music, Spotify, and Facer. It doesn't have Google Assistant, but you do get Alexa.
Another highlight is the new Wellness app, bringing the health and fitness features to the Wellness Edition, including blood oxygen level measurement, heart rate zones, automatic workout detection, and cardio fitness estimations using VO2 Max. The smartwatch also gets improved sleep tracking and continuous heart rate monitoring outside of workouts.
Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition has multiple strap optionsThe rest of the Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition's highlights include a 1.28" always-on OLED display, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage. It will come in a 44mm case size with three color options - Black, Silver, and Rose Gold. You can buy one for $299 starting October 17 from Fossil's stores and official website.
I agree. I have the 4g fossil watch through Verizon and I'm lucky if I have to charge it once a day. It lacks performance and battery life. I love normal fossil watches but doubt I'll jump into one of their "smart" watches again.
thank god for Fossil, with Samsung cancelling the Classic version, I needed a different company to release a classic looking watch with Wear OS 3.
