Opera software has announced the release of their latest Java based web browser for mobile phones - the Opera Mini. It runs on almost any phone.

The software compresses the web pages by up to 80% and formats them using the Small-Screen Rendering technology, designed for easy and fast browsing on small screens of mobile phones. This new technology greatly reduces the costs of the user for viewing web pages if he pays per KB data traffic.

The Opera Mini features customizable bookmark list and offers easy to save and surf options. It also offers a Google search box on the homepage for quick access to web search.

Opera Mini is currently available in English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish languages. More languages will be available soon.
