Well i have it my self, lags sometimes, well not very good battery life, cammera isn't good. well good ram. smooth touch, good signal and network, for it's price acctualy a very good phone.
Phone sucks! Low battery, battery charging problems after four months can not only use a sim!
Is there a Kitkat update for this?
I am also using this phone. It is a rebranded by one of our local brands here in the Philippines.
Bellow average camera, average or bellow average screen ( viewing angle, colours ok), older quad - but good results, enough Ram, smooth app running, not bad battery life, touch screen ok, screen resolution could be better. You win some, loose some, overall ok value for the money.
It would be great if some app could use small red led light active during calls for missed call/sms notification.
Try to update the firmware! I updated mine and the camera films 720p and the framerate has increased!
So first of all I'd like to say that gigabyte's customer support is horrible. If that doesn't bother you read on.
The camera is below average. It only takes a couple frames per second (10 or so) and as such it takes a very long time to sharpen the picture. Also the colors are not so good (green sometimes looks like blue).
Screen has bad viewing angles but in most cases that isn't a problem.
CPU and GPU are both fine, but are not top tier, so if you want to buy a top tier phone this one isn't for you.
Overall you can play games pretty easily on highest settings without lag and watch any video no matter how high detailed it is.
Touchscreen is responsive and the screen is pretty big too so typing isn't a problem.
Battery lasts pretty long. You can get through 2 days if you don't use your phone that much and can still have WiFi always on.
It has 1GB big storage for apps and 1.5GB for other stuff. You can move some apps to micro SD card.
You can easily hold your phone during the day because of the rubber on the back, but it becomes harder to do so in bed because edges are slippery.
Also it has a lot of features locked so you might wanna root it.
And you just might want to know that... CPU eats very little power whereas screen drains like crazy.
I tried to be as informative as possible (maybe too critical) so I hope I helped. :)
Great phone, fast, apps work great, no lag, big screen, good angle view TFT LCD, but the thing that is pure crap on this phone is the 5MP camera and the 3gp video recording... it's just bad really bad my 5230 nokia 2MP camera takes better pictures and has better video quality then this phone, otherwise this is a great phone
Great phone, quad core, 1gb ram, power vr gpu, awsome, no unnecesary programs preinstaled
mucitel, 28 Aug 2013I have bought this phone today for 135€ in Slovenia. For this price I can bear with all flaws ... moreI'm looking for a smartphone with good camera, no lag gps, good performance (gta, subway surfers...)and battery life . Should I buy it?
Just got one to have in Spain with my Irish Sim.Great Phone so far, very responsive. It has 4.2.1 now.
Last Phone HTC Sensation.
to get rid of the unnecessary apps, is it ok to reflash the rom (http://www.gigabytecm.com/en/goodscontent.php?id=10&type=2), but with the apk's deleted from GBC_update.zip\system\app? I'm referring to common aps, not the system apps (ex. best choice).
How is the GPS working?
I'm runtastic user and it's important that GPS to not have lags!
Any experience with GPS?
