jade ong, 10 Nov 2014i just got the s5.5 how was the kitkat update?? whatvis the improvement? does the battery life... morego to camera>click on video mode>settings>change video quality to medium.by this method you can solve your heating issue
i used many gionee smart phones but still little bit heating problem(do not do games on your phone)
install battery doctor i am giving u guarantee you will feel the difference.i m using Gionee Gpad G4

jade ong, 10 Nov 2014i just got the s5.5 how was the kitkat update?? whatvis the improvement? does the battery life... more1st:Install battery doctor>launch it>click on smart savings>enable(i mean On it)auto kill app>then press ignore list>remove all>then Back and press "Save Power".it will increase your battery life upto 40%
Note:do it after every 20min before you Lock your phone it will definitely increase your battery
2nd:install Clean Master>click on Junk files>wait 13sec+ >tick all>and press clean unk>done
similarly press memory boost>wait>press clean junk>done
then run Antivirus(if it found virus then install CM security also for removing viruses)
these are the 2 basic apps.thank you

Battery is a bizarre . As far as am concerned. A smart phone with less than 3500mAh is of no consideration

Install the noname rom from needrom and you will love this phone.

Excellent phone, using for more then 6 months. An oasis after my old Samsung phone which slowdowned significantly after a while (not very long). This phone's speed is fantastic, after installing more then 80 apps, still working like first day. Perfect screen (resolution and size and bright. ) and many other specs which you pay 3 times more on other well known brands. Battery is quite enough for one day full usage. Don't cause problems on rooting and other operations . Nice and classy design. Think twice before paying lots of money for known brands.
The only down side is bottom touch buttons are too close to screen and cause accidental touchs which disturb what u are doing already...

Ultimate handy and talk of town. Well placed in best of the thinnest body. awesome look. Fast ... gorilla glass rocks front and back.... that gives a sophisticated feel
using since last 6 months...processor is quite responsive..... no message like crap "Unfortunately stopped working" just in another andriod phones. good value for money. slim battery gives a good standby ..

same with my phone....
if your phone charges less than 2.30 or 2 hours...
let it charge full night...try it...
it work for me.... after doing the above way i get easily 7 to 8 hour active onscreen usage.

good looks, Superb interface, cool camera but am planning to switch to another phone due to very poor battery backup. After its fully charged (100%) within 30 mins it goes down to 80% in idle status.......................
