divyansh, 27 Jul 2014can I upgrade my gionee m2to kitkat versionOfficial update it not yet out for M2, however if you don't want to keep your device under warranty use your skills and get a custom developed Kitkat from internet and install it on your device (Which may not be exact kitkat for m2, a themed version of 4.2.2 maybe)

If you think the default settings are not working for you, install and app from play store which will turn your device into a wifi-hotspot.

there is no need to format your handset for changing pattern lock.
Yes if by mistake you have locked it by trying multiple wrong patterns and it's asking for your gmail id password, please enter it. and by any chance you are not connected to internet please visit the service centre right away.
