Heating problem cannot use without a cover flap as it will burn your ears.
Major problem of hang, sometimes it takes 5 mins to open any app, phonebook, call history, dialling pad, anything....
Do not use for free of charge
Dbabie, 02 Mar 2016Great phone with a clause. I am on unable to move my apps to the external SD. The 'Move to SD'... moreRoot it,then download System App Installer from play store. Use it to move any app you want. I've tried and confirmed it.
After using this phone 2 weeks I confidently say that yes this phone is worth to buy.
First of all I want to say that, I am so much choosy and selective for mobile. I do research for various handsets from last 1 month and finally decide to buy Gionee Marathon M5.
My requirement was Good battery,CDMA support, max inbuilt memory, max ram, n good camera.
Here is my rating for this phone.
Battery Life: 10/10 I fully satisfied with battery backup. I get up-to 2 days full backup with heavy usage.
Network connectivity: 10/10 It does not have any problem in connectivity and internet. I am using cdma and gsm n I got good coverage and net speed.
Though some peoples are facing low speed in cdma. But guys you need to do proper setting, and actually speed is depends upon various things so we can not blame handset for low speed.
Performance: 10/10 Since I have used it last 15 days, I did not experience any lags and hang. And one thing, Inbuilt app like Xender, Peel remote needs to update, otherwise its not work properly. My best suggestion is uninstall this apps and download again from playstore.
Camera: 8/10 Yes here I see some pros. Back camera do decent job, but in Front camera I noticed that at the corner, photo stretched towards to edges. But I really dont have big problem with it because I am not photo/camera lover. I use camera rarely.
Peoples are talking about its high pricing compare to specifications, but guys this pricing is because of battery only. Really its gives good backup as compare to other phone, and you realize the importance of good battery only when you go for long trip. Otherwise at home you dont realize.

Great phone with a clause. I am on unable to move my apps to the external SD. The 'Move to SD' button (normally next to Clear Data' button) is not displayed when viewing the app detail. Is there anything that can be done? Have almost used up my 16 GB

I have used the phone for hardly 2-3 days and I am not a heavy media or app user. But still the phone is getting heated up especially near the ear phone..so much so I cannot keep the phone close to my ears. Any solutions.
AnonD-149483, 27 Feb 2016you need to root and change ur rom to indian which offers sd card as default for storing all apps, you don't need to root the phone to have the external memory as the default storage, there's an app in PlayStore for that, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's for you to find what it is xD
