Google Gemini app for iOS now available

Google has released its Gemini app for iOS, allowing users to tinker with the AI assistant via voice, text or camera. The new app offers all of the basic functionality you could previously access via the Gemini section on the Google app.

One key addition to the Gemini app on iOS is direct access to Gemini Live – the real-time voice chat experience with Google’s AI assistant. iPhone 15 Pro series and iPhone 16 series users can also assign the Gemini app via the Action Button for quick searches or conversations

Like AI assistants from other competitors on iOS, Google Gemini cannot control apps or settings on your iPhone, but it can access data between Google apps suite like Maps, Gmail, Drive, and YouTube.
