Google Lens update allows you to analyze photos from your gallery

Google Android Apps

As 9to5Google reported, the Google Lens app receives an update overhauling the design and the main focus of the app itself. The new design emphasizes on the ability to analyze already saved photos and screenshots rather than analyzing in a live preview.

That's a neat new feature, which is also available to the built-in Lens in default camera apps but you are still encouraged to use the live preview analyzer. Anyway, tapping on the rounded gallery preview button opens up your recently saved photos.

It's interesting to note that screenshot analysis has been available in the Google Photos app for some time now but letting users do all of this in one place, hence the Google Lens app, is much more convenient.

Keep in mind that this is a server-side change so it may take a while before you get the redesigned Google Lens app.
