I got used to the battery on my Pixel 3a draining rapidly, even when it was lying idle, like overnight.
Last night I downloaded and installed Android 10. I finished the install at 11pm and the battery level was on 90%. When I checked the phone at 7am this morning the battery showed 88% remaining. Now my phone is perfect!
Anon, 03 Sep 2019is pixel 3a worth the price? Is camera quality on par with regular pixel 3?yes.

Does Xiaomi give one of the best camera on a smart phone? How about Android 10 update tomorrow (Sept. 3rd, 2019) and major updates for 3 years? ie. guaranteed up to Android 12.
Since the 670 already handles all tasks without heating up or draining battery, having the fastest SoC is not the biggest value in a smartphone anymore. Connecting to LTE bands almost everywhere in the world is worth paying more for Pixel I think.
BTW 3a's oleophobic coating is not as noticeable as with Gorrilla Glass and this Dragontrail version shows fingerprints right away. But I've found those coatings usually only last a few weeks and I imagine most will not notice if they use screen protectors.
I'm using zero case or screen protector so far. The phone's hand feel is great with the rounded edges but this polycarbonate body has glossy smooth edges and lacks the grip of Google's previous plastic built Nexus phones which had soft touch coatings. So while it feels great it's also more likely to slip than N5 or 5x.
Fingerprint scanner is lightning fast and the battery life and 18W charging times are above average. Thermals stay cool to touch during gaming (no thermal throttling) and has a much better single camera than Samsung A50 has with 3x cameras while matching performance and battery life. The price cost me about $150 more than Samsung but I think it's worth it for the camera and fast updates, however I sacrifice having a bigger and brighter display as well as microSD storage expansion.
Pixel 3a... "insane value for money"?
400 EUR for SD670?! Really?!
Xiaomi gives you SD855 for the same price!
How's the oleophobic coming, is it good?
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2019How is the build quality, are there any problems with the phone??
Is the FPR fast and reliabl... moreI have an odd thing occasionally happening.
The phone has on some occasions shut down. Not necessairly shutting down in high-heat situations, just that I've come back to the phone after sitting on a table and finding it turned off.
Normal boot process (holidng down the power button) does not work, you have to hold the power and volume down at the same time and it will boot after 20 seconds or so. Seems then to boot fine, and with no problems afterwards.
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2019Is there the so called "night display" in Pixel 3a?? Yes if you mean does this have a yellow-tinted nighttime option.
You can access that option via the pulldown menu from the top.
The option is called "Night Light" and it can be scheduled to turn on and off at different times and with different intensity options.
Is there the so called "night display" in Pixel 3a??
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2019Is this phone slippery, like those modern glass-backs are???No, this phone has a polycarbonate back.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2019How is the build quality, are there any problems with the phone?? Is the FPR fast and reliabl... moreThis phone has been a delight and I was a self proclaimed Google hater. No IP rating so be careful around water and it may not be "Pretty" when compared to flagship phones. Note that is is speedy, even with with a SD670 and the camera is truly amazing.
Is this phone slippery, like those modern glass-backs are???
I have been using pixel 3a for a month,
pros: great camera, good UI ,
no pro, no cons: average battery (1 day dependes on usage)
cons: limited camera option , just point and shoot category, cannot play with it,
not so much feature , iphone/samsung feels quite entertaining and premium , this one feels like cheap phone but not so cheap .
processor is good for 645 , better than other phones with midrange processor.
can play PUBG with good settings. sound is good.
How is the build quality, are there any problems with the phone??
Is the FPR fast and reliable enough, compared to other phones, what do you think?
Thanks!

I used to hate having a light blinking away when a text or email arrived. Google stated that the Ambient Display showing any new messages, mail etc. showing on the lock screen when you just lift the phone up is a better method and I agree.
Xamram, 27 Jul 2019love this single camera on the back. i hate depth sensor...a telephote lens would be good but ... moreI thoroughly dislike the fact that phone manufacturers nowadays made 2 rear cams phone as the new normal, and no good phones goes with single camera. I don't take photos very often and I don't do selfies. I have been using the same phone for 3 years and I'm thinking of getting myself a new one. But with all these "dual" and "triple" and "quad" cams I don't think I can get a phone that matches my needs that isn't like... Over €500
They saved on costs by removing the led notification light
remember the blue light that blinks when you have an email, message etc. Gone. Bad decision. I hate it.
Samirul97, 31 Jul 2019Hey guys. How many hours do you get for screen on time? It's got shot loads of battery life and screen on-time. There's several battery test comparisons on YT about it
Well I loved Nexus line but Pixel seems to be dead, just not really talked about like it used too. Shame.
